  12. It'll pass faster than you think, I had to do 6 months but my dr accepted a previous month as a starting point, would tha work for you? My cousin just had sleeve on 3/21 and she purchased a insurance thru the droctor office to cover complications it was 1200.00 and covered any dr anywhere...just saying it does exist if you are leaning toward self pay. She pd 12,200.00 and tht included EVERYTHING! Good Luck you'll love this forum. Eyeryone is super supportive!!

  15. We just let it run, the surgeon said not to worry, it was normal to run fever but to call if it went over 101.5. It is down in the mornings and comes back in the pm, Strange, lol
  16. Thank you for replying...her recent temp was 100.5. I tried all the numbers I have and no one answered, guess I'll call the hospital. She isn't in pain and no other symptons at this point. The last 2 days she has some swelling above her eyes but that is all. Will monitor her and keep trying to reach surgeon.
  17. Congrats on the weight loss, do you have to constantly monitor your weight to saty where you are?
  18. I have had a sleeve 11 months and had zero issues post op, but my cousin got hers 3 days ago and has started running a temp of 99.7. She has no other symptons of a leak but still it's worrisome since we are 2 hrs away from the surgeon. Did anyone else run temp for no reason? I have her here with me since surgery...now just worrying.
  19. I didn't have to have a preop diet at all.lol. All surgeons are so different. You'll love your sleeve. I was a big bread eater and havent wanted bread in 10 months. Good Luck with the surgery and Welcome to the forum.
  20. How disapointing for you!! Hope the weekenf flies by for you. I'm taking my cousin to Houston for her sleeve on Monday too! Will keep you in my prayers.
  21. I didn't have to either, nothing by mouth after midnight was the only pre-surgery order.
  22. I also put my surgery out there for anyone to know, now imagine living in a small town with 2000 population so it spread pretty fast. I don't mind and have formed bonds with 4 more ladies having the surgery in our small town, BUT I did feel pressure from a "friend" to start posting pics on FB after 3 weeks and I wasnt ready to share. I have another who wants the numbers so she can tell me what she weighs and what she's lost w/o surgery.lol it just made me more determined to each goal. Hang in there, don't let em get to you!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Thank you so much, I'm 11 months out and this just what I need!!
  24. My cousin is having hers in Houston as self pay for 11,000. Dr. Robert Marvin. He did mine 11 months ago and is a awesome surgeon.
