FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS
When you say babble guts do you mean rumbling and making noises? That is totally normal. I didnt have the shaky or wekness unless it was time for me to drink some protein and that helped the symptons. Tiffy posted somewehre that she drank 2 oz every 15 minutes while awake and that is what helped me with fluids. It's very important to saty hydrated. Watch for fever and if it develops, Call your Dr. Sorry I'm not much help, hope you feel better soon.

- HOW BAD DOES IT REALLY HURT after surgery?
I remember reading the advice on this forum to start asking for pain relief as soon as you wake up and I did. I asked for it in recovery. A few hours later the nurse offered to alternate the pain meds and morphine. I said YES!! I had 2 c-sections and a hysterectomy so was expecting PAIN!!!! Within 12 hrs I said- no more to morphine and the pain was just as if I'd done 100 situps. You learn to roll to your side before sitting up. Two days after surgery I walked around Walmart with hubby and even cooked for him. On the 3rd day I remember the incisions itching some and I felt GOOD!! I bought gro on the 4th day and on 8th day drove myself 2 hrs to DR. appt. It isnt bad, just a soreness. Rest, sip and walk. repeat often. Try to get as much protein as you can, it helps with healing. Good Luck!!- Newbie to Vertical Sleeve Website!!
I remember telling the surgeon post op that I felt the emptiness and he said "doesen't mean you have to eat" so I went with it. You are only a week out so use the fear of complication to help you. Eat some babybell or anything soft and full of Protein. You CAN do this. Account for your meals and Snacks. Are you losing? The excitment of losing will keep you motivated!- 8 months post op
I don't take a PPI every day BUT I do keep one in my purse, there are certain foods(onion) that give me heartburn and I try to prevent it. I have a 36 boughie, which is what my surgeon uses on every patient.- Introduction/Thank you
Well, I love the name.. I have a 28 yr old Jessi. Welcome to the best site for support, e are here for you and you are going to amazing. I really "get" what you are saying about the hermit but when the weght starts coming off you'll shed your hermit ways and look out world!- Ok here I go...me at 168
You were beautifuil before but you are glowing in the profile picture, don't worry about the inlaws..when and if the time is right, you can tell them. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!- Unable to eat
Will be praying for your friend, let us know how she is doing...what the Dr. says. Hang in there.- 8 months post op
Yeah, it's been awhile since I have been on...and you have done AMAZING!!!! Pat yourself on the back sister, you rocked your sleeve!- 3 week post op and cant keep anything down!
I'm sorry that you are having a tough time, hopefully the fluids will help you alot. I didn't have any issues but I have read that being dehydrated can cause nausea. It is sooo important to get in fluids. I tried drinking 2 oz every 15 minutes and it seemed to work better that way. If not maybe some meds for nausea. Good Luck!- 8 months post op
Hi, everyone. I haven't been around lately. I have been busy helping two of my friends try to get the sleeve. Sadly one was denied and the other is cash paying . I'm more nervous for her and I was for myself.lol I have had zero issues with the sleeve and would do it again in a heartbeat. My weight loss leveled off at 69 lbs, so accoring to my surgeon I need to lose 10 more lbs but I am in a size 10 and my 5'8 frame is healthy looking so I'm not going to stress over the last few lbs. I worked hard for the first 6 months taking advantage of the "honeymoon" phase and will get back on the exercise train after Christmas. Wishing everyone Happy Holidays!- DANGIT!!!! It is official, my hair is falling out. EXPLETIVE!
My hair loss stared @ 3months and lasted 3 months, I'm 7 months post op and my hair is fine, thin and short. It is the only negative thing about WLS I've found. I'm just sooo darn happy it stopped coming out when it did!!- Someone posted this the other day - coolest site ever!
That is soo cool, Thanks for the visual look ahead!- 70 lbs and 10 years lost!
Hi Breezy, you are doing amazing!!! I haven't been on lately, have been enjoying those grands. I seem to be holding steady with a 65 lb loss but I'm in a size 12 and hubby says I look great. I am so glad I had the sleeve! Hope you keep doing your happy dances..hugs!- The Hair Diaries
My surgery was 4-29-2010. I have taken my vitiaims and even the biotin and omega .My hair started "shedding" at 2 months and slowly got worse until I hit 5 months, it has slowed way down.I'm now 5 1/2 months out and had my hair done two days ago,it is alot thinner but thankfully no bald spots just less volume.Keep up your Protein,Vitamins and try not to stress about it.It was well worth it.- 3 days post-op vsg
It will be sooo worth it, I promise. In a couple of weeks the difference will be noticeable, inches wise and lb wise. The loss tapers off slowly.I lost 14 lbs the first week and 10 the second now I lose 5 lbs a month. It's an amazing ride. Walk, sip and rest. I did have hair issues but it is leveling off and I am glad!!!! Take care!- "Don't lose too much weight"
I got that too, and a "Have you been sick" with it.lol I know they are shocked but honestly did we look better fat? I feel sooo much better and even now the inches keep coming off although I have cut back on the walking. I just want to be healthy. I'm like you need to lose 15 more lbs to get to goal BMI, don't let anyone gt to you.- I am SO stinking excited!!!!!
Yay! Congrats..you are doing great, keep up the good work!- GOAL!
Amazing Mini-Me!! I know the pride you must be feeling.Good Luck! Keep inspiring us! - HOW BAD DOES IT REALLY HURT after surgery?
