I have the flu! Help!

Ok, first time in years that I'm sick. I have the flu, and am having a hard time keeping anything down. I'm sipping on Gatorade, but it comes out as fast as I put it in. I'm afraid I'm going to hurt my sleeve from all the dry heaving. Do you thunk that can happen at 5 1/2 months out?

You should be fine at 5 1/2 months out, are you sure it's the flu? Would Tamiflu help? Hope you feel better soo!!

I would ask your doctor for medicine. I'm sure your stomach is healed enough that you will be fine, but it is better safe than sorry. I hope you feel better soon!

Have you tried an herbal tea to calm the dry heaves? My Mother would always give us kids lemon tea when the dry heaves started.

I loved/hated lemon teablink.gif

I knew it WOULD come back up again ...but it was always the last thing. smile.gif

Also ginger and peppermint are good for calming the stomach.

Thanks for all your replies! I actually stopped heaving, but cannot eat anything. I'm getting in my liquids slowly, hot tea and Gatorade! Was actually able to eat some toast, but it is not sitting well and feels like it is going to come back up. Hopefully, it is just a bug, but the fever keeps coming back!! Will go to Dr tomorrow if I'm not better!!
