Had my surgery on the 13th. Dr.Podkameni was wonderful and Dr. Wang the anestesiologist was really nice too. He took additional precautions because I am an opera singer. Everyone has been really wonderful. I am making laps around the floor with my husband and happy to report we both had our first leak test this morning and there were no issues.

Thanks Deb!! We are both really excited. I feel better each day. Day 1 was a little rough but today was great. Soo on to day 3.... I do have a feeling I will miss my morphine pump haha. Hoping I won't wake up in too much pain. All of the staff here have been great. My own room which is lovely and making laps with my husband we have two oasises to grab a drink of water hehe.. his room.. and mine. :laugh0:

Congrats Butterfly! May the two of you be healthy and happy and live a long live in your soon to be new bodies! I am a month ahead of you and continue to be amazed at how fast the weight is coming off. I went to a networking event last night and people who hadn't seen me in 6 months were all falling all over in shock and telling me how great I look! And I still have a long way to go, but was very happy to hear it anyway. HaHa!

Wooooot!!!! I am so excited for you, it has been fun to watch your preop posts and now look at you. I am glad that they were able to work things out with your anasthesiologist to care for your voice, I know that was very important to you. Keep on posting and if you ever need hugs or advice we will be here!
