  1. How much of the cheese did you eat? Did you weight/measure it? At 4 weeks out, and still do at 6 months, weigh and measure everything I eat. BTW 600 calories is alot for 4 weeks out. I only recently am able to eat between 700-800 calories. Don't rush it; drink your shakes and eat what protein you can. Make the most of this weight loss phase to optimize your weight loss. Good Luck.

  2. Wow I definitely can sympathize. I take miralax(clearlax) everyday. If I don't I have real bathroom issues too. You may have to do this too. I hear for some once their food intake increases they don't need too. I say better be regular than sorry!!

I bet you will be laughing about that incident in no time!!

I know that the plateaus are frustrating, I have been on one for 2.5 weeks. I was sailing along and with only 15 more pounds to go I thought, no problem it will happen fast. I find that if I eat more than 800 calories I gain. I try to stick around 600-700 and eat high protein. The stall will break, one day at a time!! YOU GOT THIS!!!

  3. I am with you on this one. My goal weight is also still considered overweight on the BMI chart. I believe that these charts are just a guideline. I still want to lose 14 more pounds and right now am a size 12. I don't have alot of fat on my body and will/am looking quite slim. Go with your gut, you are the one that will have to maintain your weight not the doctor. Prove to him that you can maintain and I will bet he will be happy.

  4. Please help me to understand: you had a leak which can lead to death. I am happy to hear that it is healed. Did this not SCARE you enough not to indulge in forbidden foods? Soda and breads. This type of behaviour can kill you........please go back to why you had the surgery in the first place don't treat it like it is nothing.

Your weight loss is fantastic and I am sure you have a lot more to lose, please continue wisely.

    All the best

  5. Try to cook your chicken in the crock pot, it will be very moist and delicious. I am 11 weeks out and have not attempted pork or beef they are both very tough and even with chewing may not go down. I had chewed on some veal and it just wouldn't break down so I just spit it out might try again when I am further out. Try soft fishes and take small bites and chew well: tuna, haddock, tilapia, sole.

  6. From reading your post it appears to me that you are no longer interested in losing any more weight. Is that right? You eating plan that you list is not for someone who wants to lose weight; chips, french dip, cookie? Really? If you truly want this you need to get back on track. Your calories are way to high almonds also are very high in calories.

    Basics:

Eat protein with a little veggie

    Measure/weigh out your food

    None to little carbs

    No snacking

    Good Luck!

  7. Measuring is good, put your food in a small bowl and use small(baby) utensils. You have to consciously be aware of how you are eating. Deliberately put your fork down between each bite. If you can do something else while eating read, watch TV. Good Luck you can do it!

I think in the long term if you will continue to eat fast and when you can handle more food you will then start eating too much.

  8. So here I am speaking from the horses mouth..................I had my revision with Dr Garcia September 10th. He only charged me $500.00 to take out the band. IMO it would be the best decision to do it in one surgery. I had a small stomach hernia and he fixed it also for free. I had no complications and had the band for 5 years. There is nothing to "heal" if you have no issues with your band, don't risk the weight gain by doing two surgeries. You could probably have your surgery this year and be well on your way by cruise time.
