How do u convince ur doct that ur happy w the size u r?

I went 2 my WL doct for apt and I had went from 180 to 178 from last apt. Currently Im a size 10/12 which Im very very very happy about, I look healthy and feel good. I keep trying to telling him Im happy with my size and all he keeps telling me is that he want me to lose another 20 lbs in the next few mths. Hlep: can anybody give me any suggestions on how I can get him do understand what I'm saying without pissing him off!!! The only reasons why I had the surgery was due to lapband issues (had to have removed) and I didnt want to gain the weight back.

Does your current weight still put you in the overweight/obese area of the BMI chart? He may be wanting you to get your BMI down to the normal range is all. If you're happy with where you are, then don't worry about what he wants. It's not like he can force you to do it. Enjoy your sleeve.

many people gain back 10-20 before finally plateauing at their new weight. I wonder if this is why he wants you to get down more, to give you more wiggle room?

I am with you on this one. My goal weight is also still considered overweight on the BMI chart. I believe that these charts are just a guideline. I still want to lose 14 more pounds and right now am a size 12. I don't have alot of fat on my body and will/am looking quite slim. Go with your gut, you are the one that will have to maintain your weight not the doctor. Prove to him that you can maintain and I will bet he will be happy.
