  1. Where did you find this? That is great...I didn't drink a Protein shake today or yesterday so I must start back on the right track tomorrow. I am eating more(which is not nearly enough) since I will be six weeks out on Monday. This eating more than just liquids makes me think I dont need shakes... so I must change my thoughts and have one in the morning!
  2. Wow that is great...I am a slow loser as well...but in the end we are still "losers" and from all of the post I have read..everyones weight evens out and after a year to a year and a half everyone is at or so close to goal they can touch it...LOL! I know without this tool the term "GOAL WEIGHT" would not be in my future no matter how many years out...sad but true...so I am so happy with my small weight loss cause in the end it will add up to a much bigger number! Yayy US!!
  3. The only person that knows is my husband. I don't really have "friends" that would understand and frankly might be jealous. So I will deal with the jealousy once the weight comes off. I have one "friend" that has started trying to lose weight because she knows I am going to the gym and don't eat like I used to...so now she wants to mimic me. I say more power to you! My hubby is my best friend and "real friend" so as of now he is the only one who knows..
  4. We were sleeved the same day! I had a boiled egg this morning...another one for a snack...one mozarella string cheese stick...two mini chicken drumettes and steamed broccoli crowns with a tbsp of mashed potatoes...plenty of water and I had some grape juice/half water...
  5. This is great...Just ask yourself could you have lost 70 pounds in 6 months on your own...that is a lot of weight...keep up the good work and congratulations!
  6. You are doing great. I have lost a total of 20 pounds and 4 pounds were due to pre-op. I had surgery on July 2nd. I think everyone will lose at a different rate but in the end we all end up in the same place...losers...LOL! Also, from what I have read it is good to be a slow loser so your body had time to catch up and it makes for a lot less loose skin...,
  7. I live in Houston and did not know Galveston had this new attraction. I must go and check it out. Congratulations on your success and losing has never felt so good!
  8. You have done a wonderful job...Congratulations on being half way to goal and keep up the good work!
  9. I ordered the chic fil a grilled chicken nuggets...6 pieces and could only eat 3 pieces...I ate the other 3 pieces for dinner 4 hours later...it seems unreal that I fill up this fast!
  10. I was wondering the same thing...I am five going on six weeks out and I was wondering when I could try at least a bite of a roll or something...but if it feels me up too quickly it won't be worth it. Everything I eat feels me up quickly. I ate one egg for breakfast and felt overly stuffed! Maybe I will try a roll at 3 months out or maybe even 6 months at the rate I'm going!
  11. That's awesome...I went to the gym this morning and it really helps to keep me energized throughout the day...I will probably have to change my schedule when school starts back up...aarrgghh!
  12. This happened to me while teaching summer school. I politely informed those who asked that I was not hungry and had eaten earlier. I also had my water bottle which I carry around religiously so while they ate, I sipped and talked...no one said anything and was like O.K....it just makes more for us...LOL!
  13. I like the idea that you revisited and and updated...so glad to know you are doing better!
  14. My diet progression is the same as yours. The only difference is that my doc did not exclude any meats...the only requirement is the meat has to be tender..
  15. Congratulations! 50 pounds is nothing to sneeze at...you should be proud! I can't wait to join you in the 50 pound weight loss club...LOL!
  16. I must agree...I totally stopped shopping and from the looks of my closet I won't have to go for a while. I have clothes that are up to three times smaller...It will be fun to see which ones I can still fit. A lot of them I will give away and buy new ones but some are still up to date and I will be glad to wear them...finally!
  17. I totally understand how you feel...I am the same way. I have been back to work since day 7...I am working 6 hours a day - four days a week this summer...nothing strenuous. I will most definitely be walking...I was doing great for the past 3 weeks and fell off the wagon...maybe that's why I haven't lost a pound yet...we will see!
  18. Great Idea! I never thought of that!
  19. We were sleeved the same day and you are doing great! I need to start calculating what I eat but it is so minimal that I haven't done so yet. I really focus on protein like you. This morning I had a protein shake and crystal light that I have mixed in with a protein powder. I had beans last night with ground turkey. You are doing great...Keep up the good work!
  20. We have a Sweet Tomatoes in Houston and I will have to visit it one day...looks good. I have the same card and I will see if they honor it
  21. Hello...I was sleeved on July 2nd and I am doing great. I think I have hit the dreaded 3 week stall but it is o.k. I know this will pass and hopefully sooner than later. I still have some slight incision pain from time to time but not anything that I need meds for. I weighed 210 and lost 4 pounds before surgery and now I weigh 192-193 depending on what my body wants to weigh in the morning...
  22. I couldn't miss making note of the one thing I most definitely will not miss....drum roll please...my thighs rubbing together and sweating while wearing a dress. This causes me not to wear skirts/dresses unless its cold outside and rarely then because of the rash it creates and the pain of my thighs rubbing...I can't wait till I have loss enough weight
  23. This is a great sample menu! I will try to implement some of these changes.
  24. This sounds great! I will most definitely be trying it soon:)
  25. From everything I have read...it seems pretty normal to me. I had my surgery on July 2nd and it seems stalls are inevitable. Just try to start exercising and keep up with your protein and things should be just fine!
