  1. I am on my fitness pal and am not sure what my caloric intake should total in a day. They default set it pretty high and I don't think I could get there if I tried! I was banded 6/14, but i didn't think to ask at my follow up apt. I don't go back until 7/20 when I get my first fill.
  2. I was banded 6/14. I went out and cut the grass in the fl heat this morning and i am beat! It happens to me a lot when I try to exercise. I just have to rest after. Thank God I am a teacher and off for the summer! I don't know what I would feel like If I was working every day!!!
  3. My surgeon is Wilfred Aguila out of Tampa fl. Google him. His website has a ton of Info. They also have a fb page you can join that posts a lot of good articles. On the website you can also enter your email and get his monthly news letter. He has a book as Well that addresses why we over eat. It's good too. Makes A lot of sense.
  4. I did too much too fast and felt horrible for a couple days. Just do liquids until You feel better. And them soups were great for me. Chew a lot and take your time eating! Good luck!
  5. No cruise here til feb, but I was banded on June 14. I was at the beach for a week last week and ate a lot of soup. I have been stuck twice already. I was usually eating too fast or too big of a bite. There was nothing I could do but go to the bathroom and bring it up! Luckily both of those happened at home. Other times I thought I would get stuck and it passed on its own. Good luck! Just chew a Lot like you said and take your time!
  6. It does get better and the first week was horrible for me! Thought this surgery was way worse than both my c sections!!! I promise it he's better though! Rest was my best friend!!!
  7. Hang in there! I'm a few weeks post op and have already done that a couple times! I thought I hurt myself, too. It's old habits and of course the old habits of feeling guilty and ashamed after! Hang in there!!! We are still only human!
  8. Wow! I am on my 3rd week post op and still not 100%! Everyone is different. Hopefully day 9is your magic number!
  9. Thanks for this thread! I have been having a problem with this too!
  10. I had horrible pain too. I had surgery 6/14. I still get pain at least daily depending on how hungry I am, what I ate, if I ate too much, overdid it physically, etc. just hang in there. It gets better. And keep an eye in this site. There were times I thought I was dying or that something horrible had happened...I would get on here and find tht whatever I was feeling was fairly normal. Of course, if it doesn't pass or ease up, call your dr. As others have said, everyone is different.
  11. I can feel mine and see a small lump, but it is not noticeable to anyone else!
  12. I had the same horrible soreness! I rested a lot but also made myself get up every couple hours and walk around the house. I had to have someone help me out of bed too. It'll get better!
  13. I think it varies. My surgeon told me five weeks post op.
  14. I am also 11 days post op and starving! I know how you feel!
  15. I understand addiction... I have often said that food addiction is the worst one of Them all! A person can pretty Much avoid drugs or alchohol, but a person cannot avoid food! We have to eat and to me, there is a fine line between eating enough and eating too much! Good luck and hang in there!
  16. I got my Lap band a week ago today. I don't know much, but I haven't had any problems with it yet. I think my doctor only does the lap band.
  17. I had surgery a week ago. I got throug hmm tough patches by knowing it won't last forever. I was it itchy, But once I removed My steri strips, I felt better. Now I am just starving!
  18. I am on day six and feel pretty good. I had a lot of the same feelings in the very beginning too. I still have some pain, but it gets better every day.
  19. I had surgery last week. I slept pretty flat but got up and walked plenty. Sometimes the only way I could relieve the pressure and pain was to lay flat! Good luck. I promise it gets better!
  20. I am 6 days post op and still on clear liquids! Definately talk to your dr and see. I am sore still but not nauseous or constipated. Good luck! We must've had our surgery on the same day!
