  1. I like my scars! I guess I am weird though:) they are a reminder for me.
  2. I am a month out. I get my fill next week. I have been stuck a few times if I take too big of a bite or eat too fast. Slow down and chew!
  3. I was told not to eat any white bread even before fill. I had surgery 6/14 and get my first fill next week. I have been stuck and had food come up too. I have to remember to take small bites and chew a lot!
  4. I had that a week or so ago. It passed after about a day of rest.
  5. Hang in there and take your time while you eat. Sometimes I even take a break and go back to it.
  6. I agree...my surgeon suggested benefiber and I added some stool softener as needed.
  7. Just got off of the plane from Florida to Boston. I had no problem with my band. I was nervous about eating and drinking, but did both with no problem.
  8. I always have a reaction and took mine off the 3rd day!
  9. A few weeks for me on and off.
  10. I was banded 6/14 and am down 30. My first goal is 210. That's where i was when I left my old job in law enforcement to become a teacher. My other goal is 190. That is where I was when I dieted and lost weight a few years ago.
  11. I have a great man who loves my curves or flab, whatever we want to call it...he calls it curves. I was also big when we started dating. I have gained and lost several times. This time I was at my biggest and having health complications. I had my surgery a month ago and am Down 30 lbs! The great thing is that I am now motivating my husband to diet and exercise!!! E doesn't have as much to lose as me but it is something we are now doing together. He knows I want healthy or happy with myself the way I was and supports me 100%! That's love and I am sure he will love me when I am happier and healthier too. Beauty is within whether yiu are bigger or smaller!
  12. I was the same way. I have read in here that people call it bandster hell. Apparently after the swelling goes down and before your first fill it can happen.
  13. Be careful! I had surgery 6/14 and have been lifting light weights...not furniture though.
  14. I took my strips off on the fourth day. They were itchy and irritating my skin.
  15. My doctor wrote the note not to return to work for a week.
  16. It's all normal. I slept for the first week I think!
  17. Few weeks...I am a month out now and still feel like I need to rest a lot. Maybe it is just me!!!
  18. I can feel my port from the outside with my hand. I thought I could feel my band with my insides on the inside early. Everything is swollen. I am fine now so it is probably normal.
  19. Visiting Boston next week:)
  20. I they gave you antibiotic...I spoke with someone that had surgery the same day as me in my drs ofc at our first follow up last month. She said she got thrush from the antibiotic. Not sure what to do about it, but just a thought.
  21. Congrats! I agree with all of the above Posts! Gas x, walk, drink plenty, rest! You must be doing great....I didn't even feel like being online or on my phone aps the day of surgery!!!
  22. I confess..I didn't purée everything and I just made sure I chewed til it felt puréed and still ate very soft food.
  23. If you eat too few calories you can stop losing too. I am around 100 calories a day and lose a pound every 1-4 days. I am about a month post op. I am happy with that. I have heard 1-2 lbs a week is great! My dr says that our only goal should be to keep the weight off. Don't stress too much about lbs. your clothes will start getting too big and you will be happy!
