  1. I am in the same boat as you..had mine July 3rd and suddenly today the hunger has arrived. I tried many baby foods and hated them all except the beef with veggies. I keep filling myself with chicken broth to keep the hunger away and its been working to a certain extent. I cant wait for my fill and hoping the hunger goes away.
  2. I was banded on the 3rd of July and for the first week was never hungry..suddenly I am hungry every 2 hours! This doesn't seem normal, I am feeling like my stomach is reverting back to what it was!
  3. My shoulder is killing me and the pain meds make me nauseous. The overall pain has subsided a little since yesterday, but feeling extremely week and have no appetite at all. Forcing myself to drink. This surgery was much more painful than gall bladder surgery. I am hoping I start to feel better soon. I think I got most of the gas out.
  4. I am all approved and scheduled for tomorrow..but today I got a call from the cardiologist telling me "you know your blood pressure is a little high but I will approve you." He was on vacation when I got my stress test, and the Dr who filled in for him told me "I passed" and he would okay me with the surgeon. The other Dr. today had a touch of concern in his voice that made me very nervous! Anyone else have high blood pressure? With meds, it was still 150/95 and goes up at times. Help!

  6. I have Aetna, and have 39 BMI with high blood pressure and hypothyroid. My primary Dr. refused to write a letter of recomendation, and I was nervous that because of this I would not get approved. Apparently they accepted his "progress notes" instead. Keep in mind I did not visit the Dr. consistently. I was approved, after having to go the 3 months of seeing the Dr's needed to get the approval. My surgery is on July 3rd. Good luck, hope this helps.
  7. July 3rd for me..got insurance approved and official medical clearance. Now on the pre-op diet, yuck. Getting a little nervous now.
  8. My surgery is scheduled for July 3rd. Im not scared of the surgery iteself, but I am scared about getting nausea. I am on the pre-op diet, which seems a little different than some describe here. It is not all liquid, I can have one small salad, a cup of chicken, yogurt, applesauce and cream of wheat. However, I prefer to save the real food for dinner and do the protein shakes throughout the day. I found myself getting nauseus from just shakes, so I opted to do some veggies throuout the day. This is why I am scared of the post-op all liquid diet.
