  1. Just be careful! Too few calories can cause all kinds of problems!!!!
  2. If it makes you feel any better, I had a lot of the same symptoms as you are feeling but don't really know why. All I can say is that it does get better! I was miserable for about a week. I wasn't one of the lucky ones that were up and at em in the first few days! Just rest more than you think is necessary and sleep. I slept as much as I could on and off. That helps you heal and ale your pain meds!!!! Good luck and you will feel better soon. I was definately having second thoughts as to why I did it!
  3. All surgeons are different of course but he said he considered grit and oatmeal liquid if they were runny enough to drink through a straw, but don't use a straw! I either added extra water to the grits or extra milk to the oatmeal. Good luck!
  4. I am about 5 weeks out. I get my fill on Wednesday. I have only had nausea if I chew up my pills or vitamins in an empty stomach or Eat a big bite and get stuck.
  5. Poor thing! I took mine off early and guazed them. I had a bad Reaction to them.
  6. I didn't sound any alarms! I was a Little anxious about that too, but nobody questioned me or stopped me at all. I fly home Sunday, I'll let everyone know If I have any problems in a different airport.
  7. I was banded 6/14. I am down 30lbs and my husband is losing too! It's great to have a Spouse that is supportive and involved!
  8. My dr said absolutely no carbonation due to the reasons already stated. However they did say coffe in moderation was fine.
  9. I just flew A month after surgery with no problem.
  10. I told my friends and family. I told some coworkers too because they are always making snacks and goodies that I used to eat....suddenly I had to decline because I was on my pre op liquid diet! Everyone has been very supportive. It is also easier for them to understand when yiu can't eat somethin that they have cooked and want you to share!
  11. I can feel it a month later but only when I am laying down.
  12. I had gas pain up under my breasts at times that hurt like that. Try gas x in the morning and at night. That'll rule out gas, or make it better.
  13. By the way, I told my surgeon I was starving at my one week follow up. He didn't have any sympathy! I begged for a fill and food. He wouldn't budge.
  14. It was that bad for me! After the first week of clear liquids, I was allowed to do full liquids. That included runny oat meal and grits. Being a southern girl, I lived on runny grits! I even added soft goat cheese to add some flavor I the quick instant ones. Hang in there it really sucks, but gets a Lot Better really soon! Drink a Lot of water. That helps to keep you full.
  15. They do sell adult liquid. Hard to find sometimes. I am in fl and get mine from cvs.
  16. I felt the same way...just know that it passes. Use your pain meds and gas x and rest a lot!
  17. Maybe soy protein would work?
  18. I had gas really bad. Gas x works well.
  19. I heard it takes a lot less...haven't tried yet!
  20. I Have no fluid yet. I am A month out and get my first fill next week. I could have eaten and was hungry, but I was in a special diet of fluid and mushys. I wasn't allowed real food for 4-5 weeks.
  21. I was starving!!! Hang in there! Drink protein. It helps!
  22. Also, I am definately noticing the clothes difference. This is more important for me anyway. I am working out and exercising now, so I am building muscle. I like go focus on the clothes more than the weight.
  23. My daughter was gone for 3 weeks for the summer. I had my surgery right when she left. When I picked her up at the airport she noticed and said I was "all tiny" now! Funny, I am far from tiny and had only lost about 20 lbs from when I saw her!
