4Days Out
THe Phenegren knocked me O-u-t! I couldn't take any other pain meds. Do you have a drain? If it's gas, try walking. I know you don't want to hear that but it really does help. I hope you feel better and this is the hardest part. I thought the exact same thing post-op! I wanted to rewind time but I am 19 days out now and it's sooooo much better!

Tips To Stay Hydrated From Veteran Sleevers?
I'm glad you posted this! I am eager to see responses. I drink as much as I can and am on the verge of asking my doc for an IV of fluids. I am ALWAYS thirsty and ALWAYS have a bottle of water in my hand.

2 Week Diet
Ladies! I was in your shows less that 3 weeks ago and let me tell you! I was miserable!!! I even considered cancelling because the pre-op was so dang hard. I survived by adding Mio to my water and eating SF jello to trick my brain into thinking I was eating. I even froze it to have "ice cream". No one said this would be easy and how dare the nay-sayers say we took the easy way out! Be proud and be good! It will pay off!!!

Gas Pains
I know you have heard it before but walk, walk, walk!! I know my neighbors think I am nuts cuz I was out walking at all hours with a robe on and a popsicle in hand!! It does get better but walking is the key!

My Drain
I had my drain removed last week and my doc said I could put a band-aid on it for a few days for the oozing. It's healing up now.
-
Hot Dogs
I had 2 bites of a hotdog Friday. I didn't eat the skin and I nibbled those 2 bites down and chewed like I was crazy but it stayed down! I am 18 days post op.

First Post-Op Appt Tomorrow!
I have my first post-op tomorrow and I can't even begin to tell you how freakin' excited I am to get the painful, disgusting drain out!!! I have been on clear liquids this whole time and hoping like hell that he progresses me to pureed. Has anyone else skipped the full liquid? I feel ready to try but I won't cuz I am a goody goody who does what I am told to do!

So Can We Or Can We Not...
I was pretty much told none after surgery. My doc even went as far as to tell me to find a new alcoholic beverage because I was a bud light kind of girl. However, his nurse (who has been sleeved and is tiny) always has a Sonic drink of soda with her so I thinkit's more or less how tolerable it is to each individual.

Irritabilty And Energy
I was extremely irritable and weak for about 5-7 days on my post op. I was on 2 weeks liquid pre-op. I found that Muscle Milk was my best option for days that I had things to do and couldn't stay in bed all day. You have an extra hurdle of working in a restaurant in which you have to smell foor for 12 hours but it does get better!!
