  2. Also, a lot of people will post their leftover stuff. Keep an eye out and good luck!
  3. Being on a med that causes weight gain is tough. I am on one that causes weight gain but have still managed to lose 64lbs in 3.5 months! woohoo! Good luck on your journey!
  4. Welcome. I love this site! There is so much to learn and so many friendly people. Your surgery date will be here before you know it! See ya on the losers bench!
  5. I hate to say what you already have heard 500 times but walk, walk, walk. I found myself walking at all hours to relieve the gas-y pain in my stomach. Good luck and congrats!
  6. Definitely on the protein before anything else and no drinking 30 minutes before and after a meal for me. However, I have a horrible time not drinking with a meal so I find myself taking a sip during a meal. I drink all sugar free stuff. My sleeve doesn't particularly like beef or pasta so I don't eat many pasta carbs or greasy meat. It's been a learning curve and I was at a stall for like 3 weeks and then it started coming off again. Good luck and I'm sure your stall will break real soon!
  7. This is definitely NOT the easy way. I tell people it's the dedicated way!
  8. I know this seems a little odd but I go through times when I have no appetite and then I go through times when I feel hungry 24 hours a day. The weird thing is that when I am hungry and eating what seems like a lot is when I see the scale move. Anyone else notice this or am I crazy?
  9. 92 lbs in 3.5 months? Wow! Congrats!!! I just hit 64 at 3.5 but I am happy with that!
  10. Fantastic!!! Keep up the good work!
  11. Great video explanation! Thanks for sharing!
  12. If I attempt to guzzle water I get super naseous!
  13. I have learned that if you let your self get the point of "starving", it's much harder to eat slowly and -that's when that last bite of doom happens for me. It's a learning experience but you will only take that "one more bite" a couple of times before you realize the pain, discomfort and possible vomiting from it. Good luck!!
  14. This is an amazing place for honest answers! I went to my seminar hell bent on the band and walked out with paperwork for the sleeve! Crazy, huh? This site is also a good place to see what people who did have band think. There are a lot of revisioners on here. I got "sleevy wonder" on 6/13/12 and I am down 56lbs. That is a little slower than some but I will take it!! Good luck and keep us posted!
  15. Wow! So many firsts at one time and starting a fantastic journey! Take a camera with you! I had my surgery in the US but I have heard some amazing stories from people who were so thrilled with their Doctor in Mexico. Can't wait to hear yours!
  16. I was advised that Muscle Milk Light is okay and I actually like it. Everyone's tastebuds are different so be adventureous and give it a shot!
  17. I had not thought about it but great idea! Thanks!
  18. Congrats!! I had an NSV last night that is probable trivial for most but I was able to stand up from sitting on the ground without rolling over on all 4's first! YAY for NSV's!!
  19. I use string cheese, 100 calorie bag of almonds is pretty perfectly portioned for me, pork rinds and powdered protein. I measure it out and put it in a small container and then just mix it with a bottle of water. Good luck!!
  20. Fantastic!! Being off all of your meds is so awesome! I know the feeling (on a smaller level) of the bmi. I updated my ticker and went from Morbidly obese to clinically obese! It's a start in the right direction! Kudos!
  21. What an amazing feeling that must be! Congrats!!
  22. I don't know how far post op you are but it will come in time. I am almost 12 weeks post op and I am just now being able to get my liquid in. I keep a Water bottle with me and drink as much as I can. Good luck!
  23. Thanks! I am having a terrible time getting my protein in. I think my best bet may be to find an unflavored protein.
