  2. I have learned that if you let your self get the point of "starving", it's much harder to eat slowly and -that's when that last bite of doom happens for me. It's a learning experience but you will only take that "one more bite" a couple of times before you realize the pain, discomfort and possible vomiting from it. Good luck!!
  3. I had not thought about it but great idea! Thanks!
  4. Congrats!! I had an NSV last night that is probable trivial for most but I was able to stand up from sitting on the ground without rolling over on all 4's first! YAY for NSV's!!
  5. I use string cheese, 100 calorie bag of almonds is pretty perfectly portioned for me, pork rinds and powdered protein. I measure it out and put it in a small container and then just mix it with a bottle of water. Good luck!!
  6. Fantastic!! Being off all of your meds is so awesome! I know the feeling (on a smaller level) of the bmi. I updated my ticker and went from Morbidly obese to clinically obese! It's a start in the right direction! Kudos!
  7. I don't know how far post op you are but it will come in time. I am almost 12 weeks post op and I am just now being able to get my liquid in. I keep a Water bottle with me and drink as much as I can. Good luck!
  8. Thank you all!!!! I will keep you posted!
  9. Can anyone shed some light on how I am suppose to be breathing? I seem to be out of breath within a few steps. I assume it's my technique. Not sure but I like to jog I just need to learn how to breathe.
  10. I had a hard time in the beginning. Now I am 2 months post op and hav an app on my phone reminding me to drink water ever so often. It gets better!
  11. Thank you for sharing with us! You are inspiring!
  12. I liked the muscle milk light!
  13. I was worried too but my doc insisted that if I follow the preop diet it would. He said he can tell as soon as he gets in if the person cheted on the diet or not.
  14. Amazing!! Keep up the good work! I hope I am 74lbs down at 4 months!
  15. It sounds like reflux to me.
  16. I am definitely not getting enough protein in and I also have the water nausea but I have found that I can handle the Gatorade G2 better than water. Also, Special K makes a pink lemonade with protein in it. It's tolerable. I also found that I can handle the chicken in a can...like tuna...if I mash it up well and that has protein. Good luck and I hope your tastebuds come back! lol
  17. You should be excited about your reunion and especially now that you feel so great! If you do decide to attend the BBQ and breakfast just be smart about your choices! Have a fabulous time!
  18. I am so worried about this myself because I have such a fat face and so many chins. I am curious to see the answers!
  19. Doesn't it make the thought of all of the pre-op diet stuff worth it?? Keep up the goos work and thank you for sharing!!
  20. I know everyone's doc is different but have you looked at your allowance for 3 weeks? I was allowed refried beans at 3 weeks. I used a teeny bit of sour cream and I felt like I was eating a steak! It will get better!! I am almost 5 weeks post op and I am handling things much much better!
  21. That's so encouraging!!!
  22. I have heard so many wonderful stories about people having their surgeries in Mexico. Hell, there are places in the U.S. that are too dangerous to go to as well.
