  1. I think I will hit the water aerobics when I am released to do so. I'm ready!
  2. I like the Muscle Milk light. It comes in diff flavors so that helps a little.
  3. You can do it!!! Don't let the pre-op diet discourage you. It's one of the hardest parts!!!
  4. THe Phenegren knocked me O-u-t! I couldn't take any other pain meds. Do you have a drain? If it's gas, try walking. I know you don't want to hear that but it really does help. I hope you feel better and this is the hardest part. I thought the exact same thing post-op! I wanted to rewind time but I am 19 days out now and it's sooooo much better!
  5. Haha!! i agree. Set it on a heating pad on your "down" time!! hahahah
  6. Holy Macinoly!!! Awesome!!! Keep up the good work!
  7. Mine is sloooowly creeping off as well. My surgery was June 13th and I've only lost 17lbs. Not getting discouraged yet!
  8. Congrats!!!! It's all down scale from here!
  9. I'm glad you posted this! I am eager to see responses. I drink as much as I can and am on the verge of asking my doc for an IV of fluids. I am ALWAYS thirsty and ALWAYS have a bottle of water in my hand.
  10. Ladies! I was in your shows less that 3 weeks ago and let me tell you! I was miserable!!! I even considered cancelling because the pre-op was so dang hard. I survived by adding Mio to my water and eating SF jello to trick my brain into thinking I was eating. I even froze it to have "ice cream". No one said this would be easy and how dare the nay-sayers say we took the easy way out! Be proud and be good! It will pay off!!!

My journey, a weight loss surgery photo album by angelakay2 on BariatricPal. 3 photos in Before and After Gastric Sleeve Photos.
  12. Popsicles!!! Sugare free but they have some tropical flavors that are pretty good! chicken broth and I found that I liked the special K pink lemonade and it has Protein in it! Good luck!!!!
  13. My pain was almost instantly gone when that stupid drain was taken out!!!
  14. I know you have heard it before but walk, walk, walk!! I know my neighbors think I am nuts cuz I was out walking at all hours with a robe on and a popsicle in hand!! It does get better but walking is the key!
  15. I had my drain removed last week and my doc said I could put a band-aid on it for a few days for the oozing. It's healing up now.
  16. I had 2 bites of a hotdog Friday. I didn't eat the skin and I nibbled those 2 bites down and chewed like I was crazy but it stayed down! I am 18 days post op.
  17. I froze my jello. It was a nice change!
  18. I was told I could put a bandaid on mine for the oozing. The hole weirds me out too!
  19. I probably would be unemployed! haha
  20. I take Paxil time release and my surgeon said it was ok to hae immediately after surgery since they are tiny. I was also told that its dangerous to crush a time release. Good luck!!
  21. Congrats and you look so happy!!!!!
  22. The gas was the worst! Walk, walk, walk! Believe it or not it helps!!
  23. I have my first post-op tomorrow and I can't even begin to tell you how freakin' excited I am to get the painful, disgusting drain out!!! I have been on clear liquids this whole time and hoping like hell that he progresses me to pureed. Has anyone else skipped the full liquid? I feel ready to try but I won't cuz I am a goody goody who does what I am told to do!
  24. I was pretty much told none after surgery. My doc even went as far as to tell me to find a new alcoholic beverage because I was a bud light kind of girl. However, his nurse (who has been sleeved and is tiny) always has a Sonic drink of soda with her so I thinkit's more or less how tolerable it is to each individual.
  25. I was extremely irritable and weak for about 5-7 days on my post op. I was on 2 weeks liquid pre-op. I found that Muscle Milk was my best option for days that I had things to do and couldn't stay in bed all day. You have an extra hurdle of working in a restaurant in which you have to smell foor for 12 hours but it does get better!!
