Any Pre-Op Diet Advice?
Well with the 2 week liquid diet I can tell you about. It's not easy. The hardest is the first 3 days. This was my thought and seems to be the consensus. After those first 3 days of your mind and body rebelling it eases up. Just stick to it. It's worth it. I lost 20 pounds during this time. Good luck :-)

I Miss My Food
I feel you on the 4 weeks liquids. I am finishing up my 4th week now. Down 33 pounds though. So it's worth it. The chewing is the worst part. I miss it... Hang in there. It gets better.

Any Pre-Op Diet Advice?
What kind of pre-op as well? Some do liquid, some do low carb, some only have 1 day of clears.

Height And Protein?
No ma'am. 70 is the going average. If you get a couple more it won't hurt. But being 5'9, I was told the same as you. Try to average 70 grams a day.

Did You Or Are You Keeping Your Sleeve A Secret?
I told only my husband and his mother and my brother to begin with. When I mentioned wanting to get it done before Christmas, everyone just looked at me and basically said I was stupid. In the past month, I've lost 40 lbs and everyone is saying how HOT I look. So decided to tell them... Remember when you judged me for wanting to do it? I did it. Now look at me.

Weight Restrictions
I was approved to lift my 26 pound daughter a week after surgery. I was just told if you felt any discomfort, stop for a while. You should be ok. Just call your Dr and ask to make sure.

Just Wanted To Say Thank You
I will tell you exactly what they told me when I thanked everyone... That's what this forum is here for. To help and motivate and to sometimes kick you in the butt when needed. Everyone here is great. We are all going or have gone through the same thing. Just pay it forward Congrats on surgery and good luck on your weight-loss endeavors

What To Bring To The Hospital?
I am going to be honest with you... Everything I brought... I used nothing. Changing PJ's was not an option due to the fact the IV was keeping that from happening. Brought my laptop, headphones and IPod.. no need. The computer helped my husband and mother in law pass time. I wasn't allowed to shower until the day after I left the hospital so the toiletries I brought weren't needed except the female cleansing wipes and toothbrush and tooth paste. Now I did use my cell.. For 5 half coherent texts and 1 slurred phone call lol. The provided the skid-free slippers, but mine were cuter so I used them. And the only other thing I did use was the scentsy pig of my daughter's. It smelled of baby and helped me get through my first night without her.

Boobies
To each their own I say. I will get everything done because why not? My whole life I've been big. Why can't I feel sexy on the inside and outside? I want to look in the mirror and think I'm HOT. And if large, perky breasts are what will help me archive that, that's what I will do.

I Need To Hear How Your Anesthesia Was....i'm Petrified!
- Back Pain After Surgery?
I believe that's gas pains that you are experiencing. Get up and walk as much as you can. Even if it's up and down the hallway. They also have gas x strips you can take. Has your DR. given you anything for acid? That may help as well.- I Need To Hear How Your Anesthesia Was....i'm Petrified!
I LOVE anesthesia. By the time it's the day of surgery, I've already not slept for what seemed like days. When they put the needle into your IV and say "Just giving you a little something to help you relax", the best words of my life lol. I think everything will be just fine. You have 10 people there monitoring you from every aspect. You will be taken care of.- Things I Miss
Hold on Lady. You were strong enough to make it this far... And congrats on the 42 pounds! That is awesome. I think we are about the same amount of time out and have got to say you hit everything on the head. I think ALL these feelings are normal. I think once you can start adding things into your menu, it won't be as bad. At least that's my hope lol. I deal with the food problem daily. I work at a call center and 85% of the people I work with are over weight. They have brought the CHEEZY BITES pizza in and asked me if I wanted any. So i understand. To think, you are down 42 lbs, you are about to start a new job, and you are strong enough to make it. You got it chica. Stay positive. The scale has no where to go but down- Surgery April 5

Sorry about the nausea. I think we all have small bouts of it sometimes. Have you tried eating about an hour before taking it or 30 minutes after? I was sleeved a couple weeks after you and that's what I do. As for the veggies... Not too sure about that. I think I have read around 6 weeks you can try some of the less fibrous ones. I am still on full liquids until next week so not sure. Good luck. Hope this helps.

- Coffee
Wow rootman... I'm following you. I wasn't told no gum either. I'm a prior smoker, so it's a must .- Boobies
You can run with boobs guys. Just gotta have a really good bra. I played basketball and soccer in high school and had D's then.- Coffee
I was never restricted from coffee. In fact, I was given it in the hospital during recovery. But I didn't drink sodas or anything but water really before surgery. And only one cup of coffee during the day. That's right after I leave the gym. Really don't understand why everyone had to stop. Coffee is actually good for you... That's what DR. OZ said.- Boobies
Amen on the push up bras... I'm down about the same and have definitely noticed some deflation lol- Boobies
Mine are DD and when I lose them I already have plans to buy them again. They are part of who I am... Husband is supportive of course lol- Yoyo Game
When you're so close out from surgery it does become an addiction weighing yourself. My husband DID hide our scale. It's the best thing he could've done. I was up and down the same two pounds and was getting upset daily. Good luck- Calories
Just a quick question. I eat 3 to 4 times a day. But I'm sure that all together I'm only getting between 350 and 450 calories. Only on full liquids and almost a month out. If I got more calories in, could I lose faster? Of course I hit the infamous stall and just moved weight again.- So It's My 2 Year Wedding Anniversary
You were a gorgeous bride. You look incredible today. Congratulations on the weight loss. You must've busted your booty these last 3 month. You deserve a nice dinn... Instead, spend the night a home and just enjoy each other :-)- Pre-Op Diet
Good luck. It's easier than it sounds. Just remember you're doing it for a reason :-)- Can't Seem To Get Off My Butt An Workout
I started working out 3 months before surgery. Once I was dead set on doing the surgery, my biggest fear was excess skin. So I started hitting the gym 6 days a week for about an hour. Now post op I go 4 days a week. My time is limited as well due to working 5 days a week with a 1 year old. But I get up at 2:30 in the morning and work my booty off before work. So my motivation... No excess skin. LOL. - Back Pain After Surgery?
