New Here And 7 Days Post Op.....
No honey. You're doing find. The first week is when you're losing fluid weight from the hospital and not getting anything in. I gained 10 pounds in the hospital. I was down six... But everyone is different. If you go through and compare yourself to everyone on this site, your feelings will be hurt daily. Everyone's journey is different. Actually take time to recognise your victories instead of loathing that you've not lost x amount of pounds.

Feeling Defeated Due To Stall
I just went through this. Literally. From week 4 until 3 days ago (sleeved 4/18) I stayed exactly the same weight. I knew I was doing it right. Had not had one thing that wasn't Protein based and would help me get my goal in. But wasn't eating enough calories or drinking enough. My calories were at 300 and my Water... Maybe 40 ounces. Forced my calories and water intake to double that and lost 3 pounds in 3 day. Plus I work out everyday and chase a 16 month old. The scale will move. Promise. Just hang in there. Btw, in those 3 weeks, I went down 2 pant sizes and my arms... Yeah, they're getting cut. Stay positive :-)

Anyone Use A Hydration Pack Or Camelbak Post Op?
Some dr's. say no straws. I was never told this. I drink everything from a straw. Also everyone said no coffee. It was brought to me for Breakfast the day after surgery while still in the hospital. Not sure why, but every dr is different

Pre Op Diet Questions?
- Pre Op Diet Questions?
If you can make it 2 more days... You'll have smooth sailing. The first 3 is the hardest. You can do it. Just think if you give in now then it will be easier later- Pre Op Diet Questions?
I never cheated. I was scared they could tell and not do the surgery or my liver wouldn't shrink. But the weight loss during it... Fantastic. 20 pounds for me- Sleeved 4-24-12 What Were/are You Eating And How Much?
Sleeved April 18th and am eating 2-3 ounces of protein at a time. It may be chicken, turkey, shrimp, or white flakey fish. I eat 3 small meals a day and a least one snack. Struggle to get 600 calories a day but my protein is on point. 70 grams on most days. Water... I get it in, But forget and have to "chug" all afternoon. I haven't tried anything with carbs really or fried or butter. But everything I have tried agrees.- Frustrated About Stall
If you search on this site for "stall" you will see you are in the same boat as everyone else is or once was. The "3rd week stall". Though mine came 4 weeks and your's 2. Don't worry. Get your liquid in. Protein first. Walk. After that, just let your sleeve do the work. The scale will move. Though you should just put it away for a while. Weight means nothing right now. It's the inches lost you'll notice and make you feel so great- Before And After Pics - 90 Lbs Down
Fantastic. You look fantastic. That's all I can say :-)- Water Hurts Going Down, Any Advise?
Try drinking warm water. I used to love ice cold stuff. But after being sleeved, I could only drink room temp or warmer for a while. Or my stomach would cramp pretty bad.- Let Me Get This Straight...
Everyone is different. Usually from one to two weeks. Mine lasted 3. Figured out I need about 80 ounces of water. Broke the stall two days ago and 3 pounds down.- What's The Deal On Hunger?
My hunger differs from what it was 2 months ago. I don't have the growling, overwhelming pain in my stomach that used to happen. Now it's more like a hollow feeling. And that only happens if I am late on my normal meal time (meetings.. Always go over lunchtime) So yes. You know you are hungry, it's just not the same as it was. And if you do eat when you are hungry, it's not like you can each that much. Just have GOOD choices to choose from. 2-3 ounces, you're full.- What Are You Eating At 8 Weeks
I am 7 weeks post-op and am eating lots of protein. I have a least 1 protein shake a day made with silk. I eat baked fish, shrimp, lots and lots of chicken breast and turkey. Chicken and turkey deli meat. Snacks include weight watcher's light cheese sticks. I was at a bit of a stall, but added calories and it broke finally. Down 30 pounds and lots of inches.- Lifting Baby
My daughter was 14 months and she was 27 pounds... My Doc said one week. But if I felt anything, then put her down and wait a day. One week was all I could take..- Uodated Pics
You look great. Congratulations :-)- Any Techniques For Minimizing Leaks?
First, yes, what Dooter said. This is the most important. Second, I think that eating and drinking slow at the beginning was imperative. It also helped that I was on liquids for a month. Thinned sf pudding, thinned potatoes, jello, water, protein shakes.. My dr has done a couple thousand surgeries and only had 1 leak. And that was in the first 10.- Face Broken Out Like A Teenager -- Yikes!
Keep me updated please. I need to figure out something. Thinking about a Dermatologist- Face Broken Out Like A Teenager -- Yikes!
I am having the same problem. Must be the hormones releasing from the fat.. Crazy. I never had acne. Now at 30 I am. Thinking \Proactive may be in my future lol- Average Preop Diet Weightloss? Smooth Transition?
The average weight-loss varies. I lost 19 pounds. Some lose 10 pounds. Depends on the person. Now the exercise is a good thing to start ahead of time and helps you when you are post-op. The water intake for a while is going to be hard. But good luck on everything. You'll do great if you're already making this transition to a healthy lifestyle.- Have U Ever Forgot To Sip & Took A Gulp?
I gulp my water. I have no problems with getting liquids down...- I Learned My Lesson. Do Not Do A Strenuous Hike Without A Carb Load
Thanks guys. Very helpful. Didn't think about as to why I would get such cramps after jogging for an extended period of time when I did it a couple times a day. - Pre Op Diet Questions?
