  1. Having surgery can do a lot to your TOM. Think of all the hormones that are stored in fat. So for it to last longer than normal happens often. Or make it come early. Or late, in my case. Plus while TOM visits, you hold water weight. It will go. Just be patient.
  2. Thick skin here... Shoot lol.
  3. Then why so many cougars? Lol
  4. I have two dogs. They both acted the same towards we. But animals sense when something is not right. They can sense emotions and feelings. So maybe you're putting out something different. Maybe you're not feeling yourself or tired or depressed. My dogs will act different when I am stress than when I am normal.
  5. SW-209 CW-208 Hey I'll take that pound :-)
  6. I can tell you from personal experience that it will come off. Your body is catching up the surgery. I stalled for almost 4 weeks. Yes it happens. Yes it's stressful, but I bet if you take a pic of your face, You'll notice it's thinner more than likely. Most importantly is fluids. Make sure you get the most you can. When I stall for a while now, I drink extra and it kicks the weight loss back in. Good luck honey. The scale will move.
  7. I don't know. I can still vividly describe the worst food I've ever had (buttermilk if you're wonderingly lol), but can honestly say I can't remember the worst sex. I think I just put it out of my mind. And I think it WAS because it WAS over quickly lol
  8. WOW Lissa!!!! That totally rocks. I am so happy for you. I think you really should go out dancing
  9. The gurgling and grunting were my favorite part lol. It is normal. Yes still eat. It will calm down a lot over the next couple of weeks. You're tummy is going to be sore for a bit. Mine was only a week or so, some I see a few weeks out are still hurting. Just take your pain meds when needed. Lastly, the BM... Mine was a week. Milk of Magnesia and Miralax are real good friends of mine. They should help you a lot. Congrats.
  10. I think it's because we're all pretty proud of ourselves. If you would've asked me my weight 4 months ago... Oh hell no lol.
  11. Hells yeah chica . Keep up the awsome work. Congrats. Onderland is waiting for you
  12. Oh yeah. I was 2 weeks late. Freaked for a minute.. lol. But every woman I have seen has either started that day or the next, or was late. Your body had trauma so it tries to react the best it can. Plus with all the hormones being she from the fat so fast (pre op diet) it get's confused. Good luck. Welcome to the loser's bench
  13. I was Sleeved by Dr. Michael King in Oxford, MS. Starting BMI was 42.2. I weighed 276 (Down 25 pounds from my largest) Including pre op diet (20 lbs) and post op (48 lbs). I now weight 208. 3 months out.
  14. This is perfectly normal. I think everyone who is about to have any kind of surgery, whether elective or necessary, has this feeling. It's a big deal. You would be crazy not to be at least a little nervous. Weird thing for me is I had a calm that came over me. I knew it was right as I was laying there waiting to go back. I was confident in my surgeon. That's the most important part. He's never lost anyone. Only had 1 leak in the 3000 surgeries he's done, and that was in the first 10 he did. He has his method down pat. So breath, relax and know that it's not going to be easy, but it's going to be worth it. Good luck on surgery and can't wait to have you on the loser's bench.
  15. Wow... Sexy chica. You look fantastic. Congratulations
  16. I take Miralax every other day. It keeps it "Flowing". I had this problem pre op, so I know it would be an issue post op.
  17. I can promise you that it's not the protein that is stalling you. You are freshly sleeved, as I just checked your profile. I did atkins, many times through the years... I at a lot I mean A LOT of protein. This is not the problem. Also, looking at your tracker, you are doing fantastic. You might have hit a small stall. Don't fret. You are so early out that your body is freaking out about the lack of calories. Are you getting your fluids in? I noticed when I am in a stall, this usually kicks it out. Don't be mad at your husband. He was trying to help... Hell, mine tests me by offering me bad stuff...LOL. (Playfully. Not for reals.) So calm down. I promise the scale will move in the right direction. I was stuck at 231 or almost 4 weeks. I am at 208 now. It will move.Congrats on the weight loss thus far. You will do great.
  18. You hit the 3 week stall. It's very normal. I hit mine a little further out, but it's still the same. Your body needs time to catch up. My stall lasted 3 1/2 weeks. Don't get discouraged. Now's the time to take out the measuring tape and take measurements. I stalled from week 5 through week 9. I was 231 during the stall. I am 12 weeks now... I am 208... So no worries. You got it honey.

I know it's hard waiting to put real food in your mouth (one month full liquids here). But I would suggest waiting until your plan says it's time. Your surgeon put this together because this is what he thinks causes the least amount of risk for his patients. Just hold on. Rather be safe than sorry.
  20. These are incredible. You can tell how hard you've worked. And look at those GUNS Fantastic PdxMan... I hope to be basking in the glory one day as well.
