  1. Yes ma'am. I had 11 pounds lol. It comes off super quick though
  2. I was cleared at 5 weeks and no problems. Eat like 5 a week now... Mostly protein though

  5. Good luck tomorrow. It's a hard step to take, but the best one you'll ever take for yourself. Keep us updated on how you are :-)
  6. Totally understand that. My weakness is cake and ice cream. I've been around it and can turn it down due to sheer motivation, but what if I still love it? I know this surgery isn't a fix all and suddenly you're fixed from all the bad habits you had with the fatty food, but was hoping my sleeve would set some "off limits" signs for me.
  7. So I'm almost 3 months out. Down 60 pounds including pre-op, and all along I was told that there would be times when a new food would bother me. I've not yet allowed myself a cheat meaning bread, burgers, anything breaded or fried. But I've not had one moment where I've felt sick or known I couldn't eat anything. 2-3 oz of anything and I'm still fine. Mind you it's all been protein(eggs, nuts, chicken, shrimp). I'm not sure if this is a blessing or a curse. What happens when I want to try something sweet, or fried?
  8. No. No fruit yet. Sugar free syrups work well. Unless you are cleared do it, don't do it. You need time to heal
  9. Yes I weigh almost everything. When I go out I just eye it, but my stomach tells me when I've had enough regardless.
  10. That was going to be my suggestion. It took a couple weeks till I could drink something cold. Warm or room temp water, broth, and crystal light. It doesn't hit your empty stomach as hard. In a few weeks you'll remember how you felt while you're taking a good swig
  11. You're starting to get dehydrated possibly. It's hot. When you leave the house, always keep a bottle of water with you. Sip the whole time you're on the road. Also, being to close out from surgery your body is still getting used to lack of calories. Another thing, are not still taking pain meds? That could cause it as well. Feel better. It's temporary
  12. Besides the pre-op diet for me, this was the hardest part. For a while I would drink 2 shakes a day and drink the rest. It's mentally hard, yes. And way less calories than you're used to. But you will adapt and so will your body. Everyone in the first couple of weeks have the "Oh sh**, what have I done"days. I am 2 1/2 months out. Now I can chew stuff it isn't that bad. And drinking gets easier. I can actually gulp 4 ounces at a time. Maybe 20 number in an hour or so with no problems. Just hang on for a couple of weeks. It's so worth it
  13. We have nooks and crannies you guys don't have lol
  14. It was included in mine.. But to make sure, you might need to call your Dr to make sure you aren't excelling too fast.
  15. You must share how you toned everything. You look FANTASTIC!!!
  16. The fat that we are losing stores hormones. As we lose the fat, the hormones are release and cause us to go a little crazy. It does get easier. It does calm down.
  17. You will do great. You are doing a great thing. See you on the loser's bench
  18. I am using a straw now. If I didn't, I would never get all my fluids if not. No gas issue. Was never told not to. Each Dr has their own rules. I say talk to the dr about it and see what his reason it and if you can bend it.
  19. I just cooked them what I normally would. I still cook for them. I know right now it is going to be hard to not want to taste and bite... But you can do it. It's so worth it.
  20. I went through the same thing. Almost same stats as you. I was on a 3 1/2 week stall. I tried everything. More exercise. More water. More calories. Finally... It moved. And like 8 pounds in a week. My stall started at week 4 and ended at 7. I am 9 weeks now. From 230 to 219. Just keep proteins first. Walk walk walk. Up your water some. Maybe up your calories a bit (I was only getting like 350-450, now at 600-700) It will move. Just give it time. Good luck.
  21. My brother was the same. In fact, he called me shamu on a daily basis... Now he's 340 pounds and I am 220 and I rub it in daily lol. (He is 6'5" but he's still big, so ha.) You know we are hardest on ourselves. You need to tell yourself daily "I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and dog-gone it, people like me." (Yes, snl Stewart Smiley lol) When you project positive, people see positive. And as far as eating... Your sleeve won't let you eat that much. So as long as you make the right decisions, you're great.
