What To Wear For Trip Home?
I had no problem wear a regular pair of dockers home on the plane. The incisions are higher , one of mine was right on my bra line! Just go for comfort!

Pre Op Diet! Annoyed!
I agree, I chewed sf gum constantly and went to bed early so I would not be tempted to kill my family while they were munching in front of the tv in the evenings:) I am 5 wks out and it was so worth it to get to this side!

When Did You Eat Salad?
Pre sleeve I loved salad! I tried a few bites of a salad when I was out to dinner last weekend (got the soup and salad combo:) and it just didn't taste good. Maybe because I chewed the heck out of it. I think I will wait a few weeks and try again.

Soda Craving!
I haven't had a sip of Diet Coke in six weeks. For some reason today all I can think about is a big sweaty glass full of ice and DC. I'm seriously obsessing. I don't know what my problem is! I usually don't get TOM cravings

Do Not Pay Dr. Kelly Deposit Until You Are Sure!
He uses his own co-ordinators in MX now. I personally think that Alighterme leaves him up on their site because he is really well known, then they steer you to one of the Doc's they acctually do coordinate for. They have not worked together for many months.

Anyone Have A Breast Lift/reduction Before Wls?
I had a reduction 15 yrs ago from a 36E to a full C cup. I was 170 at that time, since then I had another baby (and was able to breastfeed) and gained weight up to 226. I am back down to 201 right now and to be honest, my breasts have not changed much in the last 15 yrs. I am 44 now and they are still high and full, lol. I have no idea what will happen when I get down to my goal of 140. That will new territory for me!

Well I Survived
The swelling in your hand is most likely just IV fluid under the skin. I had that problem, it will just take a day or two for the body to absorb it. I'm glad you are doing well!

Dr. Kelly
Did you stop in Ray's on Revolution Street? I loved that store, he had the most beautiful inlaid stone jewlry there. My only regret about going to Tijuana was that I didn't get more from his store while I was there, lol!

Do Not Pay Dr. Kelly Deposit Until You Are Sure!
This is the # I have for Omar 619-395-5347. Is that the # you have been using? The truth of the matter is that the vsg is not a really complicated surgery. There are a lot of good doctors who will do a great job. The trick is to find someone you feel confident in and comfortable with because if you are totally stressed out, it will NOT be a good experience!

Dr. Kelly
It sounds like you are doing great! I am month post op from my surgery with Dr Kelly. The whole process was so easy, I wish I had done this years ago. I'm looking forward to going back for a tummy tuck when the time comes!

Do Not Pay Dr. Kelly Deposit Until You Are Sure!
I never sent a deposit at all. When I went a month ago, I took a certified check made out to Dr Kelly and paid Trish in cash. Have you tried calling Omar directly? I talked to Trish on Friday, you will love her.

His And Her Sleeves
Congratulations! I think you are spacing it perfectly. By 3 weeks out, its back to everyday life:) My sister (who is also my best friend) and I were sleeved on the same day in Tijuana by Dr Kelly. I'm so grateful to have shared the whole experience with her. It's great to have someone who knows exactly what you are going thru! We probably text each other 10x a day.....what are you eating......how much did you lose today.......how did the refried beans go down, lol. Good luck to you both!

Thoughts About My First Holiday With The Sleeve...
I was really disappointed with myself on Easter. I took a small salad plate and had a little taste of everything, which was fine. But then a while later, I had a little more, and in the evening..a little more. I fell back into my old habit of grazing thou on a much smaller scale. All I can do is to try harder, I'm glad there are no big holidays for a while.

Reason For Time Off
I didn't tell anyone! As far as they know, I went to San Diego to visit my cousin! I take my protein drink in a sippy cup and no one really pays attention to what I eat for lunch:)

Looking For Realistic Opinion On Time Off
I had my surgery on a Friday and went back to work the next Monday. I have an active job, no sitting! I was tired when I got home the first few days but it was fine. I also went back to work one week after my gallbladder surgery. Everyone is different and you just have to listen to your body. I have always been a high energy person who hates to sit down! I would say its better to err on the side of caution! Good Luck .L

2.5 Weeks Out, Is This Normal?
I am a month post op and I still get pains in that area. I was told that the liver retractor was placed there. When it flares up I take a couple of Tylenol and it takes care of it.

I Have 4 Days To Go
I was sleeved by Dr Kelly and I started on Protein as soon as I got home. Do not worry about it the first few days! When I got home I would make the unjury chicken broth (21 gr pro) a couple of times a day instead of regular chicken broth. I really think it helped me avoid that weak, light headed feeling. I also mixed the unflavored into crystal light to sip on during the day. Both are still clear liquids.

Bloated!
It will go down as soon as all that gas makes its way out of the body, lol. I did have swelling on my left side, where the liver retractor was placed, that took a week or two to go down. Glad you are feeling good otherwise:)

A Stall Can Break Your Spirit
I am trying to stay off the scale and I never took an pre-op measurements. I have a pair of sz 14 shorts that I love and I try them on every few days. Even though the scale wasn't moving, the shorts are getting closer to fitting!

Hi Protein Pre-Op Diet = Bad Breath?
I have the same problem post-op! I brush my teeth all day long and chew sf gum.
