  1. I had one years ago and they took off 9 pounds. I was a tripe I and my shoulders are now wonderful and relaxed. If you can, I say go for it.
  2. As long as you start, it doesn't matter what you didn't do. Your post encouraged alot of people. Including me. Thank you for that and congrats.
  3. add me goal. you can pm/email me or whatever you need. i am always looking for a band buddy or who will support me and I can hopefully encourage them.
  4. i was just finishing my period at my surgery (and wore a pad/underwear) and i did those levenox shots just fine after surgery. no problems what so ever.
  5. tod i can so relate, my knees hurt alot and i do try to walk as much as i can i work at a sit down job and try to walk about once an hour. the good thing is my bathroom is 74 steps away one way so i say to my self that each step is helping hard to believe i use to do step aerobics and walk mini marathons. oh what i was...
  6. i drink one for breakfast also. if you drink too fast, do you get kinda queazy to your stomach?
  7. my surgeon only does allergen and at surgery they put on thr band after they are able to view your tummy. i believe i have the 14 (dr said it was a large so i am assuming)
  8. people who are overweight know it and the majority dont really want to be reminded....or how to (fix) it.
  9. does anyone have any weird things happen after being banded with your period? heavier or lighter??
  10. good: after losing 36 pounds, my skirts seem to be getting looser bad: i make sure i know where every bathroom is JUST IN CASE
  11. got my band/plication on june 6. i am seeking support/friendship from others who have had this surgery. i would like to correspond and support each other (ask questions etc). if interested, hit me up via message or on this post.
  12. i was in pain also but far from level 10...and if it hurts that much, like the others said, tell your dr i would recommend this surgery to anyone who asked me but stress it is up to that person to change your mental attitude and what you eat (those of us who got banded did not get this way by eating lettuce) all the best
  13. hi mag, as the other posters said, please try to follow your dr orders, they are there for a reason. i dont know but i am guessing nothing will happen that you ate that potato, but what if it did? you went through alot to get this surgery. just a few more days and we can eat foods again. hang in there
  14. hi al like tod, i was able to sleep on my side (both) with no problem. i am also a side amd stomach sleeper. just go by what your body dictates. all the best
  15. Hi K i stayed overnight and took 8 day off of work. i am glad i did that as i only wanted to take 3. i was able to rest and get my bearings. just do whatever feels best for you. all the best
