  1. lol Lissa. I did notice how they kept starring at me but did not put 2 and 2 together.
  2. 45 lbs in 3 months is awesome. I'm 4 months out and I'm down 50 lbs and I am so happy. We all are different and you are doing a great job. Please hang in there. I'm not where I want to be but thank GOD I'm not where I used to be.
  3. Congrats! I'm sliding over and making room on the loser's bench..
  4. Congrats on your approval and enjoy your cruise!
  5. Yes I'm going shopping for sure.
  6. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
  7. My story is similar to mostly everyone above. I was initially going to be banded but thank GOD I found out about the sleeve! I'm so happy with my choice.
  8. Thank you Favoredone. I see you're doing really well. Keep up the good work!
  9. Thank you and you will get there soon.
  10. Yesterday I went with a friend who was sleeved yesterday. She had other friends there whom I did not know. They were concerned for her because they knew nothing of this surgery. I explained to them she will be fine because I also had the surgery from the same doc. They started laughing and said oh now that explains it cause girlfriend we were just discussing amonst ourselves that we don't know who this girl is but her dress is too big for her and she needs some new clothes lol.
  11. mine started the next day but there might be a chance you won't have this problem.
  12. I bought them from my doctor's office, however you can also buy them from Amazon.
  13. Yes they are filling. I recommend chocolate and vanilla
  14. try doing an all liquid diet from here on out using otifast if you can get it. Some doctors say drink 3 a day and some say 5. I believe the 5 a day have 800 calories. I would not go over that. I hope this helps.
  15. I ate anything and every junk food that got in my way.
  16. Is the protein clear liquids? I was told to do clear liquids for two weeks then full liquids for two weeks after that. If the protein is a full liquid then that may be the problem. Your stomach needs time to heel. Be sure to let your doc know and see what he says.
  17. Congrats! I'm glad everything went well. Now go and rock that sleeve.
  18. I take centrum chewable, vitafusion multivites and calcium gummies. I also get b12 shots monthly. I used to be chronic anemia and have low b12 now everything is in normal range.
  19. What an awesome nsv! Thanks for sharing.
  20. The best compliment I have gotten is that I have motivated friends to get healthy and have surgery because of how well I'm doing. To me this far exceeds any other compliments I have received.
  21. Initially I wasn't going to tell anyone anything, even my own mother. I have a friend who went to Mexico, got banded and then sent an email blast to everyone telling them she was ok and about her surgery. I thought to myself wow this is wierd and I called her and asked if she really meant to do that and she said yes of course. I asked why would you tell everyone? Do you not feel ashamed? She said no, by doing this I can save a life or help someone. I thought to myself huh well I won't be telling everyone. I had a change of heart and told only friends who are morbidly obese. One friend who is over 400lbs is being banded next month because she does not have the sleeve coverage and another friend is being sleeved on the 20th of this month. Here's what I'm getting to, my friend called me and said I really thank God for you because before you called me, I was lying on the couch dying. If you never would have told me what you did, I would have had no hope. You see her mom had just passed away 5 months ago due to diabetes from being overweight. She was still mourning when I called her to tell her about wls. In this case I don't mind telling others what I did but to the skinny folks I just let them wonder lol. You really have to do what feel confortable for you. For me I see this as an opportunity to save lives. I also have another friend going through the process right now.
