  1. I can't wait to fit into a size 7 Levi 501 and 550 jeans. I was a size 7/8 prior to my 3rd child 9 years ago and I would love to wear them again. I will settle for a size 9/10 also. Oh how I loved Levi jeans. I wouldn't dare put on a pare right now. Great post.
  2. That's what I'm talking about. My husband is so skinny just the thought makes me cringe :blush2:
  3. We are definitely here for you and hang in there. Once that Water from the iv wears off you be losing good. :smile1:
  4. You will be losing before you know it. I stayed away from the scales and at my 1st post op appt. I was down 18 lbs.
  5. Well your post says it all(Just Got Sleeved) give it until your 1st post op appointment and that's when you should see some results but we are all different. Congrats on being sleeved and welcome to the loser's bench! :welcome:
  6. Dooter, I wish that had been the case for me but mine actually stayed in two days. I got off a half day early with good behavior lol.
  7. Spiritstalkergoddess, I don't know if this is standard for all doctors but it was sure a standard for mine and I was not aware of that. I was acting like a 2 year old with that thing down my throat. I was like I promise I'll be good if you take this out. I was crying like a baby. Whew thank God that was my only complaint. I did not have much pain at all and everything else went smooth. I was going to post a pic but can't figure out how on this tread.
  8. Sounds yummy! :tongue2: Thanks for posting.
  9. One thing that stood out to me is the fact you can't not eat bread with the band. I'm not a bread eater but if the spirit moves me to have a piece of bread then I don't want to be restricted. I also was told when a person who tried to eat a piece of bread got it stuck they had to have it surgically removed. That did it for me and my insurance company also made the choice easy too by making me go to a center of excellence.
  10. My insurance company told me once you are approved you are approved.
  11. I wish someone had told me I was going to wake up with a tube down my throat. I was totally not prepared for that one and as a matter of fact my 1st words when I woke up was why are yall trying to choke and kill me? They started laughing but I did not see anything funny. They finally explained this is what they do for the sleeve. Up until this point I had done an extensive research on the lapband and had decided on the sleeve at the last minute. So if someone would have mentioned that then I would have been mentally prepared.
  12. 2/14 is also my son's birthday wow another Valentine Baby. I wish you the best.
  13. I got my period right after I woke up from surgery(go figure) and then it came early a couple of weeks later. I think I'm back to normal now. :blush2:
  14. Congrats and I'm sliding over to make room on the loser's bench for you.
  15. Wow you look really good! You're working that sleeve!
  16. This is sooo funny. lololol
  17. I used g2 the 1st wk out and it helped prevent dehydration.
  18. LOL I can't run or hide because one of them came to my front door and I gave in.
  19. I'm wishing you the best. Have a safe trip and I'm sliding over on the loser's bench. :bump2:
  20. Congrats and I love my sleeve. Thank God I was not banded.
  21. Congrats and praying for you.. making room on the loser's bench
  22. You look beautiful! Keep up the good work.
  23. Congratulations on being sleeved. I felt this hunger in my 1st stage as well and it turned out it was not hunger but gas. I read a post which explained how I should start taking a ppi which can be prilosec or protonix etc. Once I started taking protonix the hunger pain went away. I think a lot of us go through this and mistake gas for hunger. I hope this helps. I wish you the best and I'm sliding over to make room on the loser's bench for you. BTW I love your profile picture.
