  1. Hi! I was instructed by my NUT that alcohol has to be away for atleast a year after surgery. They say it really can be a big issue for your sleeve and is empty calories. What about a virgin margarita?
  2. I third that!! She went through so much and I hope her journey completely turns around for her! I am also thankful for all the support of this website!
  3. I have been following your story. I am so happy that you no longer have a leak! Hopefully now you will be able to experience the good of the sleeve. I am very moved by you and even through the journey you have had you are still positive. I wish you the best!!! Nicole
  4. Good luck!! Keep us updated. I wish u a speedy and untroubled recovery! The first weeks have been hard for me but seeing a difference in myself and having people say they see it is amazing! Good luck again!
  5. Hi everyone! So on Tuesday I went to my surgeon for my 2 week post op. here are my updates. I am 5'6" and started preop at 230. Bmi was 36.8 or so. I am happy to say I now at 210 and 32 Bmi!! I was super excited on how it lowered. I am looking forward to my next appointments! Happy Sunday and Good luck to everyone this week!
  6. Thanks everyone for the support. I am super new with my sleeve and am adjusting to my new healthier life. I think yesterday was just one of the "bad" days. Today is better and I determined to keep losing. Thanks!!!
  7. Hello everyone! So it has been 2 weeks and I am starting to get really frustrated because my head is playing food tricks on me. I can't seem to get over wanting food I just can't have. Anyone go through this?please help!! I am now on purée food and just don't want to eat anything. Any ideas? I have Done good so far and really need some support. I feel I may slip and really do not want to. I love this website and wanted to share my struggles. I have lost about 28 lbs with preop and feel like it is just moving slow. I am down to 209 which I am very happy for and want to keep going. I don't want to give up i think today is just a down day. Any words or stories for encouragement would be very appreciated. I know there are those out there that actually have real issues and I sorry for sounding like I am venting. Just had to do it somewhere. Thanks everyone!

  9. Hello everyone. I want to thank you for all the comments and prayers. So surgery went very well. The Dr was super impressed with how small my stomach was (yes I passed the prediet check). However, after surgery was a dofferwnt story. I was sleeved on Thursday morning and now back home (Sunday) and happy. But I must say those were some tough days in the hospital. They kept me because I could not keep anything down. My Nausia was super horrible and medications did not seem to work. I really turned a corner this morning and have not had the sensation to puke (thank goodness) but I am also not hungry at all. I do have really bad gas pains and seems to be getting better. Any suggestions on how to make sure I am getting enough full liquids in? I really want to do well but drinking anything makes me feel like I have heartburn and gas pain. Oh well I guess this is just the beginning and cannot wait for this to be over! I happy to join you all on the losers bench!! Good luck to everyone this week!

  16. Oh and broth only. I am not allowed the cream stuff. Bit post op I will be in the full liquids. Right now the preop is clear liquid diet.
  17. Hi! I on day 10 of the 14 preop diet and I am only allowed SF Jello, SF Popsicles, o cal sports drinks, crystal light, and of course Protein shakes and Water. On my preop I am not allow yogurt or pudding :-( but I have made ot so far (a couple little slips like string cheese) and have 4 days left. Let's kick this preop diet in the butt! Have you called to ask the nutrionist what you can have? I call anytime with questions. She is really helpful that may help you as well. Good luck!
  18. Glad to hear you are doing well!! Day 9 here. Work was horrible. food was all around me. My department decided to have beagles in the morning, pizza for lunch and subs and dessert later for a surprise party. I felt way overwhelmed and almost broke down crying at my desk. I wasn't craving anything just wanted to eat. BUT I prevailed. When I was hungry I had a Protein shake and it worked! :-) just now have to make it through the weekend. 5 more days!! Good luck to those this weekend who are on the pre-op diet. Congrats to those who have been sleeved this week. I wish you all a speedy recovery.
  19. I did feel like a zombie for the first couple of days. After that I actually feel ok. Just getting anxious. Good luck to you!
