1. I do know the temptations but I just bite the bullet cause Iwanna lose this weight so think of it as I don't wanna get no fatter wish u the best and I know the holidays are gonna be challenging but we have to have will power and I have to really have it because my b day is on christmas day boy ol boy

  2. Agree with above statement, post op we are all very excited and expected the weight to fall off. But reality sets in and we all learn there is stil work involved in this journey. I also am a year out and I still learn everyday. If I want to lose I have to eat right and 95% of the time I do. I occassionaly stray, a have something that is a waste in my calories but those days are few and far between and usualy a planned party or event. I still have episodes when I eat to fast and foods gets stuck. Bad behavior patterns are hard to break but with time and discipine we can learn new and improved habits. Take the time to learn your new body and new limitations, the weight will come off if you stick to the plan and eat lean and heathy. We all lose at different speeds, never compare yourself to another. Every pound lost is a success. Good luck and keep motivated.

    Thank u

  3.
I can see myself in this picture all over again. When most people are first banded- we expect and want to see major results "quick", and I do think in a sense it's normal to want that. However, for most people it's going to take time to lose the weight. I was told time and time again by my doctor and others on this site that time is something we can't rush. It took time to gain the weight and it's going to take time to lose it as well. Don't beat up on yourself because someone's success is a little more progressive than yours. Each person on this site is an individual and our bodies all work totally different. Learn your band and what works for you. Learn to eat healthier foods and balance the appropriate amount of protein and water your body needs to become lean and strong. I have been in this for over a year and each day continues to be a learning experience. Good luck and stay motivated and encouraged.

Thank u for those words and I know I am so excited to see my new self one day Thank you

I was banded on 10/7 I went to my 2 week check up and he wouldnt fill me. He said I am still healing. I go back 11/10 and he said he would fill me then. Most drs I think wait 4-6 weeks depending how your surgery went and how your healing and tolerating food. Good Luck!!

Thanks hopefully I will get a fill I am not losing weight and I say hungry but i still choose good things to eat dry.gifdry.gif

  9. Hello to everyone that commented on this I am a day away of being 1 week post op and for me its not that hard to get the food out my mind but believe me it comes across. We all made this decision to be healthy to loss the unwanted weight. I just came to live with this and obey your tool you are not restricted on what u like it's actually how much of it u put in u and we no that shouldn't be a whole lot. Everyone stay strong and eat what u like in moderation or even alter the meal a little to be healthier with taste. That's what I am gonna do Because did we really go threw surrgery for nothing dry.gif
