Haveing some problems and not sure what to think or what i should do next so if anyone has had these problems I would love to get some advice...I have 5.5 cc in my 11cc band right now I have problems eating the healthy food, like things get stuck I get horrible chest pains and it feels like i am haveing a heart attack. The mushy foods and soups seem to be just fine and I feel like I dont get full at all?? I can eat cottage cheese and yogurt and want way more then I should eat. I try chicken or
Went for my first fill this week all went well but I feel the same?? I have 3CC's in my band they said they left 2 CC's in at surgery and put 1 in on Thursday, I am wondering how much needs to be in there till I feel that restriction?? People say this is Bandster Hell time but how long does it take....I lost 6lbs in 2 weeks so the Dr said um maybe you dont need a fill but I said its been alot of will power and long work outs I can definitly still eat!!! Thanks for the help from everyone!
I go for my first fill on 11/10. I know they say it can take up to many fills before you get to your sweet spot and have that full feeling and that everyone is diffrent but how often can you get filled?? Do they make you wait a certain time frame and then if you want to be filled again you go back?
Ok I am almost 2 weeks out and I want to eat everything in sight I know I should be so careful and watch this and that and well the shakes I am ready to toss out although mixing things with them they seem to be getting better but please tell me that I am not the only one that feels they can eat whatever they want, and why do I have to wait 6 whole weeks before a fill!!!! I don’t think I can handle this I just want to start working out and feel that restriction to control my portions that is why
Just wondering that how everyone else feels after a week out, I feel good i can walk around move and the only real pain i have is at my large insision like i am assuming that is where the port is it sort of feels like my skin wants to break open, like a strange sharp feeling is that normal I could just be too worried but wanted to know if anyone else felt that way or is it just me??? And if ya do have that pain what helps it?? Heating Pad or cold ice?? Thanks all!!!   PS i did get on the scale
Ok is this normal I am not even a week post op and I feel like I could just eat whatever I want, I have tolerated liqueds and today i had creamed soup and it was great is that ok, I dont go back to the dr till the 24th am i really only supposed to drink shakes for this 2 weeks sorry but i needed something diffrent, I dont like broth at all the thought just doesnt sit right with me i cant choke it down at all. I feel no restriciton at all and the nurse said I wont be filled untll week 6! I just
Felling a little better today...still sore but the walking seems to help alot so even though I all I want to do is lay down I know I need to walk. Feeling pretty hunger like I really want to eat and I know I cant so makes me wonder oh dear Lord what did I do to myself. From reading other blogs i am trying to stay positve and keep going foward.
WOW, its done i am officially banded. The one side of my body hurts really bad, its very hard to get up and down. The dr said all went well, I am keeping fluids down and all the medications too. Anyone have any advice for a speedy recovery that would be great cause I am really sore
I check into the hospital at 6:30 am tomorrow morning and suregery is at 8:00 am!!! I am feeling really excieted and scared all at the same time like wow this is for real the day has finnally come!!!! I am on day 1 of my pre-op diet. Shakes and bars, shakes and bars and more shakes and bars....I am actually doing ok, But its so amazeing how your mind works when you get something taken away from you, food is my life its my everything and it seems now like wow I will have a lot of time on my hands when you dont revolve your life around food. Looking for some input on how many days people took off of work after they had the surgery, I know everyone is diffrent and heals in thier own way but Im just looking for an average thats all. I want to be able to give my work enough notice. Also the pr-op diet mine consists of protien shakes and a protien bar is everyones diffrent I read about others haveing broth and jello and things of that nature??? Looking for some answers thats all...I feel I can read and read and read more and still lea
Anyone out there from WI getting banded soon, just curious if there is and if so where is the surgery takeing place. I have never actually met someone that has got the band done recently, I go on Oct 7th and I really love reading all the posts it has taught me alot already!!! Wondering what others do as far as telling family and friends, do you tell or not to tell. My husband knows and then only 2 other people in my life know Im wondering does it give you more accountability if lots of people know or is just all about me and I just work on it on my own and see how it goes?? Brand new at this blog thing but I am happy I found this site, I am haveing surgery Oct 7th sometimes feeling scared, excieted and so happy all at the same time. I have been heavy my whole life and its so excieting to think of what life will be like for me as I start to loose weight. I read alot of these blogs on a daily basis so I thought maybe to check in and indroduce myself. Im sure I will have lots to share as I begin the pre opp liqued diet and the durring and the post opt too. Anyone
