I am tired of struggling with my weight. I have, like most, done every diet known to man. I once lost 70lbs in high school, but I was always hungry, and pretty much just starved myself, then gained it all back when I started eating again. The only thing stopping me from getting the lap band is the worries of what it will be like afterwards? Yes, I want to be thin, I want to eat and be full, I want all of that, but I also want to enjoy every part of life. I could be wrong, but from some of the comments I've read I'm scared I wont be able to enjoy food anymore. I love to cook an I would really hate it if I couldnt enjoy the things I cook. I am also a little scared of the fills...I've watched some blogs on people that have had them and one lady complained that she had a hard time breathing afterwards.I hope I dont sound too extreme with my being a little scared...I really want to do this, but I would love to talk with some people that have already had it. I want to know the good and bad of it all. I go to my first appiontment soon to see if I qaulify....I cant wait to hear some of your stories!! :)
