  1. Im not much of a buffalo chicken fan, but I love chicken enchiladas, cant wait to try them out! Thanks for sharing with us
  2. Id like to join in Surgery Weight: 338 Current Weight: 249 Goal Weight for 4th of July 240
  3. I felt the same way, the only "surgery" I ever had was my wisdom teeth pulled if that even counts! When you go in they will most likely give you something to mellow you out, and if they dont then ask. I was so damn nervous but I got pretty calm right before I went under, I knew I was making the right choice. Its not the easy way as a lot of people say that have not had surgery, if anything it is harder then all the times I have dieted pre-op, but you know what it is so worth it.
  4. Wishing you both the best of luck!
  5. My starting BMI was 56, pretty close to 60. Ive seen alot of "heavyweights" have sucess with the sleeve so dont get discouraged!
  6. The thing that put a hault on me getting my surgery sooner were the appointments and my surgeon changing hospitals. I started my whole process in Feburary of 2011, I had to wait over a month and a half to get in for my sleep study, then when they found out I had sleep apnea I had to have another test which took me about a month to get in for that, my insurance only covered so many places so I had to wait it out (who figured they many people were getting test) And then my surgeon was transfering from one hospital to another so I had to wait a few months for that, luckily I was able to have it done in November, my insurance ended the next month so I just made it lol. So my best advice for anyone is to get everything done asap, you never know what bumps in the road you will face, some people can have theirs a month later, others years, it all just depends. Good luck with everything
  7. Are these Wasa crackers sold at specialty stores or can you get them at the regular super market?
  8. I have had bread a few times, I always was a carb addict and when I have had bread it gives me cravings so I try to stay away from it. You might want to try some low carb wraps, I use to eat them all the time pre-op and they are pretty good.Theres a good brand at Walmart (I cant think of the name at the moment) but there low carb wheat, I think they are 5 carbs and 60 calories for a whole wrap, which you wouldnt be able to eat but I cut them in half.
  9. I love nuts but try to limit them, if I didnt I think I would just sit there on a bunch. I love the Blue Diamond honey mustard almonds, they remind me of those honey mustard pretzels.

  15. I tried posting this a few times earlier but kept getting a error, so Ill try this again. Hello everyone, my names Ashley I'm 25 and I'm from Michigan (sheesh sounds like corny dating site intro lol) and going threw the process of having VSG. Ive had a few bumps in the road, had some problems with getting a referral from my original PCP, found a different one and finally got a referral... woohoo! I have my first consultation with Dr.Hendricks at Henry Ford Wyandotte on April 14th, I'm excited and nervous as hell at the same time lol I just wish it be here already! I already went and seen the dietitian (you have too see her before you can have a consultation) last month and got my binder full of Pre-OP and Post-OP information. I still have to have a psych eval, but from what they told me I can have it done the day of consultation, so I hope I can do that and kill two birds with one stone. Has anyone else here gone to Dr.Hendricks? Ive talked too a few people over at ObesityHelp that have gone too him but would be cool too find more people , and if you would like to add me over at OH my name user is the same, anyways just wanted to introduce myself and congratulate everyone on there success!
  16. Congrats to everyone who is having surgery tomorrow!! Wishing you all the best of luck and speedy recoveries
