  1. Wish I knew the answer to that one. My hair is falling out too. I take everything everyone tells me to take, and I know I am getting the necessary Protein. I am not one that has trouble eating or drinking my Protein shakes. Nobody seems to have the answer to why it falls out or what makes it stop. I think it just has to run it's course.
  2. Your drain is coming out so that means you're on your road to recovery! congratulations!
  3. Thanks Mac! That's great that it's all in one place. I clicked on a couple of them, and it's not one big paragraph for me.
  4. I haven't gained anything back that I lost during the post op diet and I have lost 5 more. Are you snacking a lot or not exercising?
  5. I am doing great. I love never being hungry. My weight is dropping slowly, but I expected that. I have always been a slow loser. If I wanted to lose faster, I need to exercise more. I do exercise regularly, but not like a madwoman like I did when I first got the band. My life is just busier now.
  6. I am sorry to hear you're having a difficult time. I went alone and the only problem I had was boredom. Thank goodness Dr. Campos loaned me his lap top.
  7. I didn't bother telling very many people. It's way more fun to just get thinner and keep it to myself. I don't have the patience for negativity.
  8. I only really get that full feeling when I eat solid protein like steak or pork chops. I tend not eat those foods just because I don't like that feeling.
  9. Did you ever send a pm to Alex? he will figure out why you have problems getting in there.
  10. That is not the case if you go to Dr. Aceves. You really don't need much cash at all. You're in the hospital for 3 days and don't need a dime. The only thing I spent cash on was to buy a phone card since my cell would not work. It was $3
  11. I hope that's not true. I don't want to have gall bladder surgery!
  12. I know for sure my taste buds are screwed up. Today at work I ate a cookie. I thought it was pretty tasteless. My co-worker said "wasn't that the best maple cookie you have ever tasted?" I could not taste one bit of maple.
  13. I've been doing dips for awhile now. It's one of the exercises my trainer showed me. I can definitely feel it in my triceps the next day.
  14. I do a group strength class twice a week. I can't afford my trainer anymore. He did teach me a lot of exercises for that area though. Yeah, the hanging skin is mostly there when relaxed. I've never thought of it that way before.
  15. Ambien has gone generic. It's way cheaper than Lunesta. Lunesta doesn't work as well for me as Ambien so I was thrilled when it became generic. It's now about $7
  16. yea, I was wondering the same thing. Why does it have to be open?
  17. I've been trying for about a year to build muscle in my triceps with no luck. That's the area that bothers me the most.
  18. My biggest wish is to be able to fall asleep like I normal person. It's like I get a 2nd wind at 9pm and I am wide awake. I could easily stay up all night and not feel tired.
  19. Protein Sample Information (especially for pre-ops!) Normally I hate OH. But this is a good post on how to get samples without buying much of a protein powder. They look like good deals to try a few things and not spend much money. Hope the link works. I suck at computer stuff.
  20. I don't have any of the problems she is having either. I also had a hernia repaired at surgery, so I don't think that's what it is. I have no problem finishing a 24 oz bottle of Water in about 10 minutes. I drink 32 oz of water every day at work. (I only work 3 hours) When I work a full day, I drink two of those 32 oz bottles. I have no trouble eating chicken salad, meat loaf, the inside of a burrito, chicken breast, etc. The things I have had trouble with have been steak and pork. It's not that can't eat them, I just judge how much to eat incorrectly. I had no trouble getting all my Protein in as soon as I came home from the hospital. The problem I had was making sure to drink really slowly, since I was told to drink 2 oz every 10 min. I wanted to drink 8 oz in 5 min.
  21. That's a good question. How long can swelling possibly last? I am asking because of my friend who can't eat at all. She can barely drink Water and she is a week behind me. I can easily drink a bottle of water in nothing flat.
  22. I doubt if I would ever spend the money on a face lift. I have already spent 20 grand on WLS. Plus I have heard that face lifts really hurt.
  23. I have heard so many people who say they like those premier Protein drinks. It's the only one I have ever tried that I think is really nasty. It's funny how eveyone's tastes are different. I am glad I tried one at a friend's house before buying a case of them at costco. I love their Protein Bars though. I think they have too many calories for a Protein Bar. 300 calories. I have to only eat half of one. I think muscle milk is way better even if the protein grams aren't quite as much.
  24. I looked at the ZRT website for a phone # and didn't see one. Can you pm me the phone # so I can call them and ask them to set me up?
