I ate spaghetti sauce on mushies. Just the ground meat, and the sauce. yummy. Also ground meat with taco sauce and sour cream. yummy again.

I have nothing good to say about the band. It was very difficult for me to lose weight with the band. I felt like I was doing it with sheer willpower, and why did I pay 10 grand for that? Eventually, I got the restriction I was looking for , and started throwing up practically everything I ate. Then came the waking up from a sound sleep , choking and puking in my sleep. I could not get that band out of me fast enough. The sleeve is great. I love never being hungry. With the band, I was not supposed to be hungry , but when you throw up what you eat, you're hungry again right away. You're supposed to drink liquids after you throw something up, because the vomiting causes swelling around the band. So, back on liquids AGAIN. Hunger, AGAIN. The sleeve works the way the band is supposed to work, but it really does work, no fills, just surgery and you're done.

I am really having a tough time with solids. I get the foamies or slime or whatever you want to call it on a regular basis. It's very difficult for me to want to eat solids. tonight I went out to dinner with DD. I had one little tiny piece of chicken. I didn't even eat all of it. It was about 2" square and I probably had 3 tiny bites of it and about 3 green Beans. I guess I didn't chew the grean beans well enough because the sliming went on and on until I finally threw up. I don't think my portion was too big this time.

My bf tends to stew over things for a few days before he is ready to talk about it. It's better actually that he does this, rather than blow up about it until he has time to put into words what he wants to say. As for his DIL, I have concluded she is nuts. She could have easily contacted me and asked what I was talking about rather than drag him into it. He doesn't even have a computer and it's ridiculous that she complained to her father in law about something that really did not concern her. Now somebody please explain face book to me. I have my settings set so that only my friends are supposed to see what I post. Why then are friends of friends seeing my postings? I was in a bad mood that day, and normally I am very generic on face book and talk about the weather or something. However on that day, I believe face book says something like: what are you thinking, or something on that order. I put something about feeling sad that day. Why that dufus took that personally is beyond me. I am sad and will continue to be sad until my son and DIL move into their home so I can see my 4 week old grand daughter regularly instead of visitation being controled my my son's mil.

I am one of those lucky people who have never had to sip. I had the opposite problem. I had to really try to sip and drink slowly. Now that i am over 2 1/2 months post op, I don't even worry about it anymore. I drink a lot of water pretty quickly when I take all the pills that I need to take.

I just found out why my bf has been acting so distant the past few days. It turns out his DIL is upset with me over something I said on Face book. I wasn't even talking about her. Facebook is stupid too. Something you say can be taken the wrong way by all these people that you don't even know. I am more than disgusted at this moment.

Welcome to our little corner of the WLS world. Your weight loss is amazing! Can you share what kinds of things you have for your meals? I am sure that there are many people who would love to hear how it was possible to lose 131 lbs in such a short time!

I got mine at Walmart. It's not a magic bullet but it looks just like one. I would be lost without it. I use it every day.

is this type of surgery even covered by your insurance?

That's what I need. I need those blinders that they put on horses so they can't see anything beside them. I also need to stay out of the grocery store.

Eating with the sleeve is nothing like eating with the band. The sleeve works like the band is supposed to. I can eat anything I want, only just a little bit of it. There are no foods that get stuck. There are some people who are taking longer to heal, and are having trouble and having to eat really slowly, and sip really slowly . That has never been the case with me. Even in the hospital, I could drink whatever they brought me, and I had to force myself to go slowly. When You feel full, you feel like your stomach is full from just a few bites. It's not in your chest.

For some strange reason I have been grazing the past few days. All these people who are having trouble eating, and then there is me, who can eat anything and everything in site. I don't like it! Gonna have to do the 5 day pouch test and get back on track. In fact, maybe I'll just go back on the liquid diet for a good week. I just ordered more Protein drinks. I do so much better when I dont eat food at all!

I've been taking Biotin and I took it for a year after lap band surgery. I quit taking it because it didn't seem to help. I started taking it again a couple of months before my sleeve surgery and my hair still started falling out. I am afraid for the 4th month because that's when it's supposed to start falling out the most. Mine fell out from the 4th month until at least year or more post band surgery. That's why I started the nioxin products before sleeve surgery. I am doing everything possible to not lose anymore hair. I lost half my hair from banding and it's still not recovered.

The sleeve does take away all the hunger. I am never hungry. I eat by the clock. I eat when I get up, I eat at 12 noon and I eat at 5pm or later if I am going to dinner with friends. I am really glad I got a revision to a sleeve. I always felt guilty with the band that I was doing something wrong. I could not tell if I needed a fill, or if I was supposed to be able to work with the fill I had. When that decision was taken away from me by my dr. because of vomiting in my sleep, I am glad the sleeve was available because it's been the very best I have felt in years. It's so easy to maintain without effort.

I'm glad to hear she is doing well Judy. I hope she recovers quickly and you get to have your surgery sooner rather than later.

I have pretty much decided to make my house a rental for snow birds. That way it would be available to my kids and me in the summer. We don't mind the heat because it's freezing cold here. I can rent it for one winter and make enough to pay all the expenses for the house and put some aside for future repairs. Oh I have a fb page now. I gave up myspace cause my dd wants to post the pictures of the grand kiddies on fb. I have a real estate agent helping me and he thinks I can rent it for 1700 a month. That seems a little steep to me, and if I could find some responsible renters who would take really good care of things, I would be willing to give them a break on the rent.

Clears will be gone before you know it. Then it's onward to yogurt, drinkable yogurt, delicious Protein drinks, Soups. Egg drop soup was my favorite.

I used GNC unflavored protein powder. I didn't find it changed the taste of anything i put it in. I put it in soy slender. It's in a carton not the fridge. I also love peanut butter/chocolate why gourmet that you order from Netrition.com - The Internet's Premier Nutrition Superstore!. There are many soups you can put in a blender. I used the low sodium cream of chicken. There are a lot of things you can try once you move to full liquids.

Add me to the list. I had no band problems for 2 years. The first 2 years were great. I lost weight and I was happy. Then the complications started in, and I knew they would just keep coming. I revised to the sleeve because I knew I would just gain the weight back and I could not be happier.

I've been using the nioxin products- shampoo, scalp conditioner, and conditioner, It seems to be helping.
