  1. What is Folicure? Mine is really falling out badly. I haven't lost that much weight, cause I lost most of it banded, so I don't think it has a thing to do with weight loss.
  2. I thought I ate too much but it's been hours since I ate. I just looked up the symptoms and they said one of them is gas. I have gas all the time but this is the first time I have ever had this pain that is on the right side. How do you know if you're having gall bladder problems. Mac mentioned that my nausea could be gall bladder related.
  3. Until then you can keep giving your extra to the homeless. You did your good deed that day!
  4. congratulations Susan. I remember that feeling well. When people asked my goal, that was my only goal, to be able to shop in the regular section. I am really happy for you!
  5. I didn't tell anyone, other than my kids and my friend that also has the sleeve.
  6. isn't that the truth? People are still getting banded and they are so happy and excited. they have no clue what they are getting themselves into.
  7. I can eat one small piece of pizza if it's thin crust. Then I usually pick at the toppings of another piece and i am usually sorry because then I am too full.
  8. Lol Ruthi. It's amazing when you watch the other people pack it in. She always tells me I've lost enough weight and I should eat a little more. I've had experiences where I have sat there and slimed for an hour and was so uncomfortable. I always bring the dog. It's quite helpful.
  9. Natalie, I am glad you are here posting your story. So many people are so excited that they are getting their band and I just wish more of them would come and read all about how miserable the band could be. I loved mine in the beginning, but once the problems started, I could not wait to get that thing out of me. I love the sleeve!
  10. I am happy for you baby girl. The sleeve really is a great thing. The weight will just keep coming off. I agree, it's way better than the band.
  11. Even frozen yogurt gives me horrible gas but it's nothing like the sitting on the toilet all night that ice cream will do to me. It's a good thing though. Ice cream doesn't sound as temping to me as it used to. I can drink a few sips of milk but no more.
  12. glad you are home safe and sound. Now the fun begins every time you get on the scale!
  13. Yes, we are all one big happy family over here. I do read posts over there, but I don't have the connection that I need and get here.
  14. My friend who does not know I had surgery keeps inviting me over for dinner. It's difficult to try to keep explaining why I eat so very little. Good thing I always bring my dog. I sneak bites to her under the table. I think I will decline her next invitation to dinner. It's difficult to watch her family keep eating.
  15. How are you doing now? Has the scale started to move a little bit?

Good to know. I eat popcorn. I am glad when I am at the movies, the sleeve won't let me eat as much as I used to.
  17. That's so great Tiffy. I love Mexican food and I find that chicken goes down easy, especially with guac. and sour cream. You've lost A LOT of weight, so of course you had no problem fitting at the table!

It's easy for someone to tell you not to worry. When you have been raised by someone who taught you to worry, it's not an easy habit to break. I have to work on it all the time. When I catch myself worrying, I try to put my mind somewhere else.
  19. I could barely tell I had surgery. I love the sleeve. I loved losing weight right from the beginning and I had no pain to speak of. I went back to work in less than a week.
  20. I didn't know they could do anything about the neck. I always see people on tv with face lifts and that turkey neck so I assumed the neck could not be fixed. Carol, I went to the post office today and applied for my passport. They said I should have it in 4 weeks. WasA said she is planning to go with us.
  21. I don't think that goes on at this board. I have never seen any posts like that. I am sure that I haven't seen every thread, but to my knowledge, nobody has knocked anybody's doctor.
  22. thanks for keeping us updated Lisa. I am glad to hear you're doing so well. I have my band in a plastic bag on my dresser. I like looking at it now and then, and being glad it's not in my body anymore.
  23. Glad you are recovering and back letting us know how you are doing. I agree. I loved everything about Dr. Aceves and staff. I am excited to go back in Oct. to see them all again. Now the fun starts, when you see the pounds falling off on the scale!
  24. I never told my dad. I didn't want to hear his negative comments. In fact, there aren't very many people that I told. We will all be here to support you. Having this board makes all the difference in the world.
