  1. Now you know how I feel.
  2. I finally found some at walmart. All they had was blue berry flavor. The brand is Brown Cow. It's really good. It's 100 calories for a pretty small portion, but the protein count is way higher than any other yogurt. i wish I could find fage here. I tried it in Vegas, but we just don't have it here.
  3. I just don't like my water or liquids to be too cold. it seems to go down a lot easier for me if I drink it room temp or a little bit colder. I too drink about 80-100 oz per day with no trouble. It takes me 24 oz just to get my morning pills down.
  4. Ruthi, I am sure being post menopausal plays a huge part in it all. Our bodies are just not the same and we don't lose like we did when we were young. It's unfortunate, but at least with the sleeve, we have a good fighting chance.
  5. Vegas, those pictures don't do you justice. You look way thinner in person.
  6. I was in the hospital for 3 days as well. I felt fine by myself. I live alone and nobody came here to help me. I went right back to work.
  7. I stayed on Protein shakes for the longest time because it just felt easier and I could get them down better than anything. You don't have to rush food. There are a lot of people who have trouble with eggs who are several months post op. Eggs don't seem to be a sleeve friendly food.
  8. I will be 57 in Oct. and I have lost a total of 95 lbs. There are a lot of people who lose over 100 lbs no matter what their age. You will love the sleeve.
  9. I had never heard of it either. I could have saved myself 10 grand. I would have never found out about the sleeve though, if it were not for lap band talk. So it all worked out.
  10. Do you have a ball park date of when you'll be meeting him at the airport?
  11. Every lb counts Ruthi. We all no it's no race. I always remember that I would have weighed more by now without WLS and don't worry too much about how fast I am losing.
  12. What brand are you using? I got mine at GNC and it was their own brand.
  13. I checked around and found out that Dr. Jossart & Cirrangle have a 1% leak rate. That is a very low leak rate. Dr. Aceves though has never had one single leak. I am glad though that you were confident in your surgeon. That is what you need going into surgery. I hope you're feeling better every single day and that scale keeps moving right on down.
  14. Mine is sitting on my dresser. I like to look at it every now and then so I can be so glad it sitting on my dresser rather than wrapped around my stomach.
  15. I think 600 calories per day is too low. That's just my opinion.
  16. I didn't get any Blender Bottle either. I tried the strawberry, but I mixed it with half a scoop of EAS strawberry powder because I didn't want half of a serving. I guess with the rest, I will drink half a serving of one flavor and half a serving of another flavor, so I can have a full serving. I am doing only Protein shakes this week cause I am tired of being the same weight and I am only 2 lbs from goal. I want to get there by next week. This up 2 lbs and down 2 lbs is getting old.
  17. Wow! That is very expensive. I am very glad I found Dr. Aceves. I don't know about having his work published, but I do know that he has a lot of band to sleeve revision surgeries, and is doing 5 sleeves to every one band these days. I am sorry for everything you went through at the airport. I had them tear my stuff apart at the airport the last time I flew, and it was no fun. I can't imagine them doing it if I was feeling poorly. Lucky for me, I couldn't even tell I had surgery by the time I flew home.
  18. Wow, I am sorry you went through that. I hope drinking gets easier for you. I am always able to drink A LOT of water. Just make sure you are always using something to measure. Water that comes in bottles have the amount right on the bottle, but if you use any other container, be sure you figure out how much it holds.
  19. I second everything everyone else has said here!
  20. Not only very nice, but very nice looking, if you had the same one I had. I am not sure if they have more than one, lol
  21. Your doctor should have given you a list of what foods you can have exactly when. One thing Jagator left off the list was Protein shakes. You can drink ready to drink EAS, low carb slim fast, or Atkins, or there are a lot of powders out there that you can order online or buy at the store. Everyone's tastes are different though, so don't buy too much of one thing until you're sure you like them. I think it's Vitalady.com where you can order sample packets.
  22. Nope, mixed with milk is not clear. Isopure is a clear, if you can stand it. Most people don't like it. I bought unflavored Protein powder at GNC and mixed it with crystal lite.
  23. It doesn't even make sense to me why you have to see him at all. Most gyn doctors only see you if you are having issues, having a pap but not just to have a BC prescription refill. I would call around and find a new doc as soon as possible, even if you have to keep one last appt. with Dr. Moron. Then at least you'll be all set for next time.
  24. Are you getting your 800 calories that Dr. Aceves recommended? It sounds like you're not eating enough.
  25. Yes, it confused me, that's for sure.
