  1. You are really playing with fire. Just because you say you feel fine, doesn't mean you are. Like someone said, a tiny particle could get stuck in your staple like and cause a severe infection as well as a leak. Then you will end up in the ICU for awhile and not be able to eat for a long time. You should contact Tiffy and find out what she went through with pockets of infection.
  2. Where do you get the edamame? I have heard a lot of people say they snack on it. I have found it frozen, and in salad bars. I have not been able to find it dried, like a snack you are talking about.
  3. I just got an email from Dr. Aceves office too, asking how I am doing, how I like my sleeve, and how much weight I have lost, etc. What a caring office, doctor and staff!
  4. My vote is for Dr.Aceves as well. You will find that there are many of us on this board who had our surgery done by him and all of us are extremely happy patients. He has never had a leak, his bedside manor is fantastic, his entire staff is fantastic. Honestly, I can't say enough wonderful things about him, the hospital and my entire experience.
  5. Really, cut yourself some slack! You're being too hard on yourself. If you don't do it again, it won't make any difference.
  6. I was going to say that too. Since Vegas Angel has already spoken up for the Chike, I would be happy to have the Unjury. I have never tried it, but I am not picky and I know a lot of people that like it.
  7. I really love the oh yeah choc. mint Protein bars. I am sorry you are going through this Lan. I don't have any advice for you. I never lost my appetite. Some days I did forget to eat, but it's just a habit for me to drink a Protein Drink every morning when I get up, as soon as I take all my Vitamins and supplements. After that, I may forget to eat until about 3:00 when I remember I forgot to eat lunch. If nothing sounds good, I'll have another protein drink. There are several that I like.
  8. Soon 2 be, next time I come there which will probably be January, we should work out together. It bothers me when I go to AZ and I am not exercising while I am there!
  9. I agree with Vegas Angel. There is a thread in the food section, rate your liquids, and there are two places in there that show all the places you can order samples. I like the whey gourmet Peanut Butter and chocolate, and there are several others I like. If you're just starting to experiment with Protein drinks, you should order some samples.
  10. I have the chat window open in case anyone wants to talk, while I fool around on my lap top. come in and I will hear the doorbell ring!
  11. I do count my protein. I know that's important to not loose muscle mass. Other than that, I pretty much eat whatever I want. If I figure out my protein in the evening and it's not where it's supposed to be, I eat a Greek Yogurt, 10 grams of protein, or a protein shake of 20-30 grams, whatever I need. I am lucky that I love my protein drinks.
  12. thank you Alex. We appreciate how hard you work to make this a good site.
  13. I don't count calories so I don't have a clue. I just make sure to get plenty of exercise so I pretty much eat whatever I want. I am really bad. I eat candy, cake cookies etc, all the time, but I don't seem to gain. My meal portions are small, and I exercise like crazy, so I am maintaining at goal with no trouble at all.
  14. Thanks for posting and sharing. You are right. There are not enough people at this board who have had the sleeve for very long. That's why I end up doing a lot of reading at the other board. Lan2k I hope things get better for you soon. Maybe you're having spasms like Vegas Angel gets. She says drinking warm things in the morning helps. I am sure it must be frustrating for you.
  15. I know. I am bummed. It said to try to log in from the lap band site but I got the same message there too.
  16. I am lucky that I only have to work part time. If I had to go after work, I would be in trouble. It's just such a habit for me to get up in the morning and put on my gym clothes. I have been doing it for 5 years so I feel horribly guilty when I don't go.
  17. It wouldn not be that big of a deal if they weren't really stinky. I can't smell them because I have no sense of smell but others tell me it's nasty. They are silent but deadly, and sometimes not even silent and then it's double the embarrassment.
  18. If you want one every day, you should take the Miralax. If not, you won't have one every day. We just don't have enough room in our stomachs for enough fruits and veggies and we would be eating non stop.
  19. I have a lot of trouble with no full signal too Tiffy. I have to go by looking at the portion and knowing it's the right size.If I ate until I was full, I would be completely miserable in 20 minutes.
  20. Have you told people that you had surgery? It hasn't been that big of a deal for me because I had the band first, and I lost slowly with the band. I really haven't lost much with the sleeve, so it hasn't been very noticeable.
  21. I have felt like I was bulimic at times too. In the beginning when I was learning to eat, if I ate too much, it would come back up and I felt so much better. I have learned my portion size so that rarely happens now.
  22. I got home from ball room dance class late so I guess I missed you two. I am leaving the chat window open anyway in case any night owls want to talk!
  23. I should go back to taking probiotics I guess. I don't know why I stopped them other than I take so much junk already.
  24. Everyone goes on some type of acid reducer or PPI which stops the acid before it's even made. Eventually, after you are off the post op diet, you may need miralax which is not a stimulant laxative, but helps with constipation. Most people have diarrhea while on the liquid diet. Some people have had it bad enough where they needed to take immodium sometimes.
  25. Anyone want to talk this evening? I am going to keep the chat window open while I surf around a few web sites. I will listen for the doorbell so come on in and talk!
