  1. That's such a good idea, Norma!
  2. Me too Chancie. I can eat a lot of chocolate and it's just like the old days. Nothing has changed in that respect. I still crave sweets and I still eat them, but my portions are small so it hasn't made much of a difference. Ice cream is another story. I crave ice cream, but if I eat much of it, I am sick. I can eat one scoop, but more than that and it's massive diarrehea. I am pretty sure it's a combination of sweets/fats. I seem to get that if eat anything rich that is high in sugar and high in fat.
  3. yeah, I am trying to keep regular so I don't have to go through what I went through last time. That is definitely something I don't want to repeat. It's been a lot trickier to keep things right since sleeve surgery and all the protein. I have heard from a lot of people that after you have gall bladder surgery, things loosen up quite a bit, so to speak.
  4. thanks everyone. It's been almost a week and I am bummed that it does not seem to be getting better. I am hoping tomorrow will be better.
  5. Yea, I have been eating a lot of Greek yougurt because I am not sure what I am supposed to eat. I've been sneezing a lot the past couple of days. Man is that painful!

Tiffy, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am really happy to have found you here on VST!
  7. Me too! I hope it fixed soon. I don't like this!
  8. Mountainlover, I have looked for the chewable choc. chews at Walmart and all I could find were choc. calcium carbonate. Does your package say Calcium citrate?
  9. It's an individual thing. I had my vit. D level checked because I hear that a low Vit. D causes cravings for sweets. Mine was low. I crave sweets a lot and I still eat them. My friend who is sleeved also still craves sweets and eats a lot of candy.
  10. I hope all of this evens itself out soon. I took too much stuff to try to make myself go, and I paid for that. I would like to find a happy medium.
  11. I hope to show a loss in a few days. I sure don't feel like eating. This is more painful than I expected and way more painful than sleeve surgery. I had to sneeze a litle bit ago, and it hurt like hell in my side, I guess where the gall bladder used to be.
  12. I never had any pain to speak of. I had pain the first 24 hours in my shoulder because of the gas. They gave me pain meds for that. It took care of it. As far as eating, Dr. Aceves post op diet is 10 days clear liquid, 10 days full liquids, 10 days of mushies. So, I would say after 20 days you can eat soft foods.
  13. janette, I hope you are better soon. I know this is really hard for you. It will be so great when all of this is behind you. I will keep you in your prayers!
  14. I miss White Castles. I bet a lot of people here don't even know what it is. Judy does this mean you're over your stomach bug? Congratulations on being in Onederland! I am really happy for you.
  15. I put sun flower seeds on my salads so I don't see why you can't eat the kind you have to shell yourself.
  16. Could be. I have had symtoms for awhile but was trying to hold off til January since I have $1,000 deductible. The pain meds have been making me itch like crazy but I got medication for that today. Benadryl was not helping so I got a prescription today. The pain meds have made a big difference.
  17. grilled fish is good too. I like all sorts of white fish. I cook it in a little bit of olive oil or on the George Foreman grill. Actually, anything you make for dinner is good for lunches because I always make too much and have leftovers.
  18. I am surprised I am in much more pain today than yesterday and the day before which was surgery day. How long did you take to recover? This is way more painful than band surgery or sleeve surgery. Also, the stupid hospital did not tell me if I am supposed to watch what I eat over the next few days or even down the road. I've just been eating a soft diet and I am getting alarmed since I haven't had a bowl movement since Sunday. I have taken stool softners and Miralax since I got home from the hospital and bought some milk of mag today.
  19. Thanks! I got out around 9 am yesterday. I couldn't stand siting there raising my bill by the seconds.

I am impressed Tiffy! I have no desire what so ever to try spin classes. They always ask me and I always say, "spin classes are not for me" I would rather jog on the treadmill any day.
  21. don't worry about sending your stuff. Do it when you have time. We're just happy you found something that will work for you!
  22. Yes, Judy! let us know how you are doing! I hope you're feeling better.
  23. I eat a lot of salad with chicken breast on top.
