Fat free vs. fat????
I seriously doubt if your surgeon expects you to have zero fat because that is next to impossible. 3 grams of fat is really nothing. Maybe you should give them a call and ask them what they expect you to eat. One thing that all surgeons agree on is protein. It's next to impossible to get protein with zero fat.

How long have you been sleeved?
I had my surgery at the end of April. I really don't think there is anyone who has had the sleeve who posts on this board longer than 2 years, like you are asking about.

Anyone heard from Daisy?
You are all so sweet to be concerned about me! I went out of town with a friend and didn't take my laptop. I'm glad VegasAngel had my cell# so she could text me even though I am not able to text back very easily. My phone is not one that's set up for easy texting. I am going to be in Az from 1-10 until 1-14 but I will have my lap top with me! Does anyone know anything about how to get online with your phone? Denna was telling me there is a cord you can get to connect your phone to your lap top and it's much cheaper than getting online any other way. Otherwise, I have to take my lap top to the grocery store down the street. It would be nice to be able to get online at the house.

I am all better now other than the new side effect, diarrhea. Funny how I learned to spell that word since WLS:laugh0:

eating has become a problem
It does get better, REALLY! I remember when it was hard to eat, and I lived on chicken salad out of a can. Now at 7 months, I can pretty much eat anything. Sometimes not much, but I do feel satisfied.

Hair Loss post-op
Can someone recommend a good fish oil that does not make a nasty taste if you burp it up? And where do you get it? Rose, it will be interesting to see if you still haven't lost any hair when you reach 4 months. 4 months seems to be when it starts.

High Protein, Low Calorie Bars
I bought a box of the Oh Yeah bars at GNC. the last box my daughter ordered and I will have to ask her where she got them. We placed an order together and I have no idea where she ordered from.

Questions
Eat whatever you want! If you count your calories and count your Protein, you're doing good.I have occasionally eaten chicken nuggets but I usually pull the breading off. I just don't like it. I use a straw all the time. I mean all the time. I drink much better with a straw. I was never told not to. It sure hasn't hurt me.I also chew gum all the time. It helps me not eat. As long as you're positive you won't swallow it, chew all the gum you want. I also drink a Protein Drink every morning. I like my Protein drinks. At least I am sure of how many grams of protein I am getting every morning. I would stay away from bread, noodles rice, in other words, white carbs. Those will slow your weight loss down, and make you hungry faster. 30 lbs in 6 weeks is great!

1 Week out- Need some advice--
My daughter drinks the pickle juice! Are you getting some Protein in at all?
-
Please Help - Post op One week
Yes, I think you should go to the ER if this does not clear up. sometimes the infection needs to be packed with gauze. these infections are nothing to fool around with.

Is this hunger pangs?
You need to take it every day. People who have had sleeve surgery are supposed to stay on an acid blocker for a few months. there is a difference between the ones that help with the acid once it forms, and the ones (PPIs)that prevent it from forming in the first place.

more than a 3 week stall? anyone?? please HELP
I went on a stall that lasted longer than 3 weeks. It was frustrating. I knew that the scale had no choice but to move because my portions were so tiny. It takes the body awhile to decide to give up anymore weight after losing. It wants to get used to the new weight for awhile. Just keep eating right and exercising. It's so temping to say I am just going to eat (some bad food) because I am not losing anyway. Just keep eating lower fat higher Protein foods and avoid white carbs-noodles rice, etc. and you will lose again.

furious that I had to buy clothes
Let's not forget thrift stores. I have gotten brand new clothes at thrift stores for like $2. Sometimes I have paid as much as $4. When I started ball room dance classes, I needed dresses and skirts which I haven't worn in years. I got a whole big bag of stuff for $20. The tops are very pretty silky type material and none of it looks used in any way.

Finally home
Mac, (where ever she is) made goal in 6 months. I do believe she also lost 100 lbs in 6 months.

Finally home
Welcome Home Tiffy! I can't remember if you left before or after my gall bladder surgery. I lost my appetite after surgery and managed to lose 6 lbs. Two more lbs and I will have lost 100. I hope you had a good time in spite of all the fried food. I've been putting unflavored Protein powder in my Greek yogurt and getting in a little extra protein that way.

Fluids and Fiber - TMI story but important
Yeah, that sounds like a really good thing-fiber gummies. although since having the gall bladder out, I have not had a problem. It's nice.

would any of these work in place of Nexium mups?
I love the generic Protonix. I took it before surgery as well. My dr. prescribes it for me to take it twice a day, but I only take it in the morning. That way, I get 60 for $10
-
Is this hunger pangs?
I take generic Protonix.

Hair Loss post-op
I used it. I started using it right before surgery and up until my hair starting falling out and realizing it didn't make much difference, other than making my hair really dry. I used the shampoo, the conditioner and the scalp treatment.

Need some new lunch ideas
If you want to go with frozen foods, there are lots of good things from lean cuisine, WW, or Healthy choice. I usually eat the meat and veggies and I don't buy anything that has rice or noodles that are too hard to pick out.

Officially lost 100lbs
I am pretty close to reaching 100 lbs myself. Yay sleeve. I have about 3 more to go. It was only 2, but then Thanksgiving came and caused me to gain a lb. back. Right? It was Thanksgiving's fault, not mine!?
