Do not compare your progress to others. We're all on a unique journey. No one else has your combination of hormones/history/age/metabolism/stress/etc. Also, be prepared for stalls. They happen and it sucks. Take your measurements before surgery and regularly thereafter so that when weight loss stalls, you can still see the progress you're making. (Yes, you can lose inches even when the scale doesn't move!) Find some buddies who have surgery around the same time as you. It is great having people to talk with who are at the same stage in the process that you are.

3 weeks post op from sleeve

If yes and yes, I don't see why not. The worse that happens is you get so sick of ricotta bake you never want to look at it again! They say a varied diet is important because of the wide variety of nutrients we need, but that doesn't apply to us post-op. Sent from my SM-T820 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surgery Scheduled

Hello everyone I am new here. I am 27 years old and I will be having Gastric Sleeve Surgery January 23, 2020 and I am so scared. I have a great support system but I want to hear advise from those who will be or have been through this journey. I am scared about not waking up, pain, and or complications. My kids birthday is a couple days afterwards so I guess this is weighing on me. No negative comments, like I said I am new to this. Thanks!

    Starvation mode?

How the heck can I lose so slow when I'm only eating a fraction of what i was before? It just baffles me. So, I upped my calories and ate 800 as opposed to my normal 600 and gained a lb. Man, this is screwing with me. I wish I was like the others consistently losing each day. Sent from my SM-G973U using BariatricPal mobile app

Are you ok? Anxiety sucks! I like to read, and meditate when I’m feeling anxious. It took a lil practice, but it really works for me now. What are things you do to help it?

This. I think it's very important to take into the equation why one wants/needs a revision. Anyway, results regarding revision and weight loss seem to vary a lot.

Not really a rant but just frustrating

Even during transition, get a supportive, well fitting bra. Sports bras will work but get fitted. You don’t want to add to the saggy baggy boobs by wearing loose bras too. Only buy a couple (one you’re wearing & one in the wash) and look out for sales & special deals. After suffering back pain from my too large & non supportive bras, I splurged on some new (though pricey) much prettier underwear. Made me feel & look better & no more back pain. Just had to buy another lot of new underwear in a smaller size. I’ve gone from 18F to 14F to 10 FF/G. Hopefully that should be it now. Donated my too big bras to St Vinnies.

I can understand the frustration. See if you can stop the conversation loops by changing the subject of conversation.
