    heartburn is back

Hey y'all. I've noticed for the last 3 weeks after I eat I am getting some pretty fierce heartburn. No reflux coming up, just that clean-burning sensation. I had bad acid reflux and heartburn pre-op that totally disappeared. I am taking Prilosec. It definitely doesn't feel like an ulcer or anything and doesn't hurt while eating. It's a very distinct heartburn sensation. Doesn't seem to be correlated to any type of food. Just happens shortly after I eat anything. Any thoughts on this? I was taking Arthrotec which is an NSAID but also mixed with a medicine to protect your stomach lining (prescribed by my bariatric surgeon and later by my primary care for a disc herniation). I stopped that and now I am on Celebrex, also an NSAID but required by my plastic surgeon 10 days pre-op skin removal and 10 days post-op, and also "safer on tummies". Again, this is coupled with the Prilosec. But yeah... heartburny! Sent from my SM-G930R4 using BariatricPal mobile app

    heartburn is back

I am 11 years out from rny gastric bypass and am sitting here waiting for my gastroenterologist's office to call so that I can schedule my second endoscopic dilation to fix a stricture that was diagnosed a couple of months ago. No ulceration. Just a narrowing of the gastrojejunal anastomosis with some inflammation. This is the first serious issue that I have had that has resulted from my surgery. Moral of the story, you can develop a stricture at any point post surgery, even 11 years out.

It's not the scars you will be trying to hide when you wear a bikini, it is more likely to be the loose skin.

Can we just be for real ???

if im being honest its definitely true for me. I had the same girl since high school show interest in me, and i would never allow her in close to me because i didnt feel i was good enough for her. (thats my own ****). i got the surgery and i finally had the confidence to take her out because of the surgery. and now we are dating and im happier then ever. but i would have never before because i didnt feel enough, even tho she constantly tells me shes not with me because of the weight loss. so yeah i had this surgery to get healthy, but god damn it i wanted to look good too.

    "herbal" therapy

Hi! If you search this topic on the message Boards there are some PRior threadS that I found really helpful when considering this question myself It seems that some people feel safely able to use ‘herbs’ after surgery.

    Bloating after meals?

Same thing happens to me. I don’t know what it is. I don’t get it. How does it happen if my stomach is the size of a shot glass?
