    ❤18 mo/1.5 yr Post Op❤

18 months post VSG ~155 lbs, BMI 27 Reflux (GERD) increased in intensity but I'm working on it. Mystery of dumping continues- c'est la vie... Gave up a few foods for a while to see if it helps both. We'll see. Not many other changes from the prior month. This looks like maintenance for me.

Stomach hungry but brain is not?

I am 10 days into my sleeve and this morning I have noticed my stomach starting to rumble which stopped after I finished my protein shake. Whats weird is how my brain is processing it and the best way to describe it is confused. I am eager to move to full liquid to see what my sleeve will handle with semi solids like yogurt. Is this normal at all? I have not deviated from the clear liquid at all yet. I havent felt that tingling or full sensation since day two when I first began to sip liquids. I can handle 8oz of liquid so far no problem but havent attempted to go beyond that. I have my first follow up on Thursday.

I ended up switching my Effexor extended release capsules for the tablets. And I take them 3 times a day. Kinda a pain, but it works. Can't take extended release after surgery. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Abnormal EKG

Exactly! Mine was abnormal so they did an echocardiogram/stress test. Other than a slight murmur it was all good. WLS surgery went on as planned.

    that horrible stall

Me too. Six weeks in and this is my second stall. I'm doing everything right, and yet... It's just dispiriting to have done all of this and feel like it's not working. So. What I'm doing to stay positive and keep on track is that I pulled out a few pieces of clothing that I'm really close to fitting in to, like five to ten pounds away, plus the dresses I was wearing pre-surgery up on the wall to remind me that I'm making progress and hang in there. And I spent yesterday doing fun stuff, like going to the movies and getting a blow out. And I'm going to put my scale away until Friday because seeing the number not move every day is not a loving thing to do. We'll get through this, damn it!
