    K I S S

I want to hear tips from people that maintain effortlessly. I thought maintaining would be easier. The transition from weight loss into maintenance was interesting. It was hard to let go of weight loss phase after living that way for so long. Just took time to adjust. How have you ordered your life to make the entire process easier - for loss and maintenance phases? Four years out. Living healthy comes naturally. Grocery shopping and cooking is a breeze. Gym is my stress relief. Instead of weight loss goals I have fitness goals. I live life and indulge once in a while. When I gain, I go back to basics. I have chased the same ten pounds up and down the scale. (with the exception of my third year) Are you still struggling to find balance? I am settling into the fact my weight bounces around. I know how easy it is for me to gain. I experienced being stuck at a sixteen pound gain in my third year. Basics stopped working ( I have no idea why) Fourth year basics are now working well. I dropped back into my maintaining zone. Prefer complexity to simplicity? I prefer to do both I take breaks. I don't log and I workout less. Right now my goals are distance running driven. To stay healthy I log food and train.

If you aren't already, I'd grab a sharpie and start labeling all of the stuff that is yours with your name. It might not stop them, but at least they won't have plausible deniability, "oh, I didn't know that was just for you." And maybe they'll feel a tinge of guilt when they do it.

    HELP! where to go

Hi. I do not know how this works exactly.. but here goes! I have ALWAYS struggled with weight. my whole life has been yoyo diet.. I have tried everything, sometimes i have even been successful and lost a lot of weight but i can not manage to keep it off. I have hit a all time low in my life. I have decided to have a GASTRIC SLEEVE but i am struggling to decide what clinic to go to? I keep looking through fourms and reviews and i can not seem to pin point one or two clinics that make me feel 100% confident to go ahead and book a consultation. Can anyone help/share where they went and how they narrowed down their search? thank you

    Can you drink pop?

here's a couple articles regarding soda after WLS: http://www.obesityhelp.com/articles/drinking-soda-after-wls-debunking-the-myth https://www.livestrong.com/article/347882-carbonated-drinks-after-a-gastric-bypass/ The key is that you don't want to drink liquid calories. Also, you want to be cautious on how carbonation affects you. If you decide to drink diet soda, you want to make sure it doesn't cause excess gas that gives you discomfort. This is especially important during the healing process, up to 3 months. Also, that you are avoiding drinking and eating at the same time (which is the same for all liquids). Some programs allow carbonation, some do not.
