    Deserted.

Hey guys, My surgery is booked for the 19th of Jan. I only told my mom, my husband, and my best friend. My surgery is out of town. My mom won't come with me. My husband wont either (we have 2 school aged kids). My clinic requires someone to pick me up and stay with me the first 2 days post op. I am left with hiring a caregiver. I am so upset. How can you spend two days in a hotel with a stranger /rant

    Hard Work Pays Off ♥️

The first and last love is to love yourself! Never in a million years did I ever picture myself wearing such dress. I loved it and how I felt in it. Amazing feeling to experience. When your confident in each step, it shows and it attracts so many good things. One of the most memorable days of my life [emoji813]️

    Day 2 on Pre-Op Diet

Pre-op diet was harder for me than the surgery and recovery. Take it a day at a time, folks. After surgery, there's still a couple of weeks before you're back on real food....but it's better somehow...cause you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Wish I could say something inspiring and perky here....but I remember it as just plain miserable. On the plus side....surgery was a lot easier than I expected. Wishing you all luck.

    Too much fish?

Thanks - I was sleeved on 12/18, so we're kinda surgery buddies I guess. You're absolutely right - maybe three of those filets would have been enough, even with the band... As for baby food turkey - how is it? I did pureed beans and mashed up avocado for pureed - stayed away from meats. Also, what's it like being the sausage king of Chicago?

    Funny xmas story

I wish I had friends like that. I am almost 2 years post op and even though I am not one for pasta my downfall is sweets. Wish someone would have sprinkled salt all over the first sweet I had put on my plate. Have a Great 2018

I'm 4 months post op so I can't really comment about long term hunger. At this point I rarely hungry. I can say that I can now go out with friends for a meal and not worry about it. I usually order an entree and that is the perfect size for me. I can eat anything I like, no food causes me any problems. I am confident getting my sleeve is the best decision I've ever made. This is a big decision and good luck on what ever you decide.

Dear Lord - I love those Torani flavors and they ship fast. I use them for so many things. I make an iced coffee frappucino some mornings with cold brew coffee, sugar free chocolate and caramel syrups, a scoop of protein powder and ice. There you have it - 26 grams of protein and about 110 calories. I use them in my shakes, in coffee drinks, everything. Think about coconut milk - I prefer the taste to that of almond or soy and it's 45 calories in a cup. I drink my coffee black for the most part. Good luck finding a combo that works right for your tastebuds!
