My plane leaves for san diego in a couple hours. I am having a TT, Lipo to abdomen and back, BL/BR, and possibly fat grafting to the buttocks (thinking of backing out of the fat grafting for now) just now sure how Im going to sit or lay on my behind to recover from TT and BL/BR with having my rear end injected with fat! Anyway I am using Dr Fuentes in Tijuana, Mexico, and his office will pick me up at the san diego airport and we will go to his office to get my markups done today. My surgery is tomorrow morning at 7:30. I will stay the night in his postsurgical recovery, and be released Friday if all goes well. I will try to have my brother that is traveling with …

So I have a tummy tuck and I just found out I have a golf ball tumor in my tubes ... My doctor says it needs to come out ... My tummy tuck doctor is like hell no ... Your belly button is not the same as everyone else ... Only because they want to go through there ... Said my muscles are so tight nothing will get through there ... Anyone with this problem ...

I have darker skin in places where my body fat rubs together - inner thighs/skin under the very top of my arm... Is there a way that you have gotten your two skin tones to match again? Or maybe I'm the only one with this issue. Sent from my iPhone using VST

I'm looking for others that had their arm lift, breast augmentation and lift all in the same surgery? I'm scheduled for the first week of June, can't wait! I do however have 3 little ones at home (3.5 year old and 1 year old twins). How was the recovery for you? Any tips or pointers? For the BA part, how did you decide on size??? Thanks so much!

Feeling a little better now .. some pics of how much skin overall was removed in 11 months 3 Operations and a total of 28 hours surgery. My surgeon is extremely cautious and takes her time with all surgeries she has done for me. I had a total stay in hospital of 13 days . Only complication i experienced was allergies to the medical adhesives causing stitch abscesses when i had my thigh lift in October 2012. I also developed an encapsulated seroma in my thigh which was removed when i had my maxoplasty 8 days ago. I developed a haematoma in my left breast and ended up with an additional 2 hours in surgery and 4 pints of blood transfusion. My band is playing up due to the…

Ins approved bcbstx 8 month post opp 152 pound weight loss..so nervous..estimated 15 pounds of skin then 27 more to lose to my goal weight! !

One of my main frustrations with my body after I lost all the weight was the way I looked in a T-shirt. Yeah I could get an XL and drape it over my self and hide my tummy but thats no fun. I wasn't an Extra Large person anymore so why should I be doomed to still wear clothes that are too big for me. Im still only 35 days post op from my extended tummy tuck and still swollen, but am VERY pleased with the way I look in a T-Shirt now. And get this - Its a MEDIUM! I never thought in a million years I would ever be wearing a medium ANYTHING. Once I pack on a bit of muscle and a 6 pack I will be unstoppable with this shirt on. Watch out ladies. lol $5,800 + Lots and Lots of …

I need some assistance....I am in the VERY beginning stages of looking for a surgeon, I just moved to TX so I dont have any connections here and I would prefer the Dr be in either the San Antonio, TX or Austin, TX area. I would also entertain south Florida area as I have family there. I was sleeved on July 23rd and I am down 111 lbs and my legs tell me daily I will NEVER be able to wear a bathing suit in public EVER again! LOL. I want to wait at least a year to get anything done but want to know what I am in for (especially pricing wise). Any experience of who to go to (or NOT to go to) is GREATLY appreciated!! THANKS!

I have always carried alot of excess weight on my inner thighs. Years of thighs rubbing together has left the skin weird. I will probably be stuck with the pocket of fat and a bunch of excess skin there unless I do surgery and/or lipo, but I have a question about the skin. The skin is sorta darkened - I assume that is essentially like a callous or toughening due to the rubbing. In addition, there are quite a few blackheads on the skin there - I would say 1-2 blackheads per square inch in the worst area. They aren't like open zits, just black spots in enlarged pores. I just started using a zit scrub in the shower like you use for your face, as over time they do reduc…

Just wanted to reach out and tell someone that can relate to my feelings right now that my Tummy Tuck is scheduled for tomorrow morning, Jan. 3, 2013, at 7am! I'm soooooo excited but getting nervous and anxious. I was doing o.k. until the anesthisiologist called me a minute ago. I am not at goal weight which was originally set at my personal want of 140lbs. I really don't think I can maintain 140 as the last time I was that weight was 10 years ago and prior to my open heart surgery, full hysterectomy, hypothyroidism and Hoshimoto's . I could probably get there if I tried extremely hard but I know that realistically I won't be able to maintain that weight and if I coul…

I am having the 360 body lift (along with a medial thigh lift, bracioplasty, and a breast reduction and lift ) with Doc Katzen this summer. I was wondering if any of you have had these procedures? I guess I am most worried about pain. My pain tolerance is, normal (I guess). I woke up after my VSG saying, "why did I do this!!" but felt better after I got my pain pump!

My surgery is in July, and hopefully by next year July I should be at goal or close to. I don't know how my skin will be, but anywho, I do not want to have any more children any time soon, but I have heard it's best to wait until you are done having kids before having a tummy tuck. For those who have had babies after tucks, did it bounce back?

Just a quick question for those that have had pcos and have abdominal fat that hangs below the belly. Is this something that can be removed thru partial way of your weight loss? I know they say wait until you are at your goal, but the problem that I suffer and many others do to is being able to work out is limited because of this. Was wondering since I don't go into the doctor until another week, if there are any folks out there that had surgery after half of your weight was lost instead of all your weight

Well having had my abdominoplasgty and brachyplasty in May 2012 am feeling fully recovered and am now going for my thigh lift. My sugeon is going on maternity leave in december so it was either having to wait till next year and another summer interupted by surgery or to get it done asap. My surgery date is the 18th October 2012.. Just to give you an idea of what my poor surgeon has to deal with i am showing 2 pics one pre-op with my very loose skin on my thighs and one of my thighs in my marena compression leggings. I love these compression legs and although expensive are so worth while, the difference it made to me not having this baggy skin showing on my legs with no…

Hello Bandsters, I'm getting closer and closer to goal and unfortunately see the residual effects of all my weight loss staring at me in the mirror. A TT and BI are in the near future, however, I am resistant to arm surgery. I wanted to know if anyone has used either the Skin Tight Body Firming Lotion or Olay's Quench Plus Firming Body Lotion and how they feel about them. Or perhaps you know of any other products that yield some noticeable results. I am targeting arms, so I'd appreciate some feedback on arms specifically. Thanks and Good Luck on your WL

I was sleeved last may and have a large abdominal hernia that I need repaired. My insurance won't cover the tt. I have heard that you can't go back and get a tt after getting a hernia repair- is this true?

Last year at my wedding, I was 144 lbs - about 9 lbs from my 135 goal. I still had to wear a shawl with my sleeveless dress cuz of my back fat. Ugly. Don't know what to do about it. I've lost about 100 lbs and have minimal saggy skin but still have the backfat. Wonder how much it costs fo lipo on just my back?? Marci

I am looking forward to starting my insurance process for getting a TT. Just curious for those who have had the procedure how much the extra skin weighed? I have a pretty good pannus right now and curious how much I might lose.... Thanks, Katie

Although I have not had my surgery yet - I thank my doctor for telling me all along about weight loss and skin sagging. I am 47 and male. One of the main reason I have held off on the surgery is the saggy - excessive loose - too much skin issue. It can't shrink back as quickly as it was stretched, And this more than a vanity concern as is the lapband. I more 175 lbs over weight according to Michelle Obama. I have diabetes now and have had high b.p, for too long. Like you all and my doctor i / we have tried every diet out there - medifast, atkins, south beach, ketogenic, and while we could crash weight with some form of major carb restriction the rebound gaining was horrib…

I will be having my first consult for plastics in a couple weeks. I found a surgeon that will do a free consult and that's where I wanted to start because I hate to pay for a consult when I don't even know when I will have surgery. I need to have a lower body lift and possibly a tummy tuck. Not sure how much skin will be removed from the tummy with the lower body lift. I am so sick of all of the skin being in the way, I hate it. It is in the way when I workout even with spanx. I just don't want to deal with it anymore. I am compiling a list of questions to ask the surgeon. What do you suggest I put on the list? Thanks, Sarah

Sorry I couldn't think of a better title. I haven't gotten the surgery done yet but am in the process of setting up an appointment for surgery. One positive I was told about getting the surgery done at a young age is that your skin stretches back easier. Not completely but easier. I also know that in a few years after surgery I want to have children. Has anyone around my age 23 had surgery without needing a tummy tuck soon after? I would wait until I was done having kids if I was going to get one.

I am 8 months out from my sleeve! My start weight was 229 and I am now 163!!! I am thinking of thigh lift, breast augmentation, arm lift, and tummy tuck. I am wondering if BCBSTN will pay for tummy tuck and/or thigh lift. I didnt know if rash on thighs would help for insurance to pay!

I have gone from a c cup to a pre teen sports bra and have so much sag that when I bend over my boob skin hangs about 7inches down. I have no breast tissue as when I'm lying on my back, all I can feel is ribs. I know that the scars from a reduction are much worse that those from implants, but I'm not really comfortable with having fake boobs. Also, I breast fed my daughter until she was 1 year old. If I had a reduction, would I still be able to do that with subsequent children? Or would I be able to do that with the implants? I'm fine with being flat chested, I just really HATE the saggy deflated balloons hanging off me. Any help would be appreciated. I wou…

Helloah! Just a quick call out to anyone who has had a TT post sleeve. I am now 5 days post op TT (2 1/2 yrs post sleeve) and I've noticed a huge difference in how my sleeve is handling food. I've never had real issues with acid, heartburn or indigestion but since my TT I do! It is really nasty too, with a terrible feeling of being sick, although I have not vomited. Once I've eaten I get nasty acid and awful wind, not very lady like but amuses my kids and hubby no end. Also, I can't eat as much- it's like a new sleeve, to the extent that today has mostly been a liquid day. I'm planning a small (even for me) evening meal. I think I will do the same for the next few day…

I had a tummy tuck and thigh lift a month ago today. I still have some surgical swelling but overall everything is much improved. These are the G rated photos - if someone is looking for more specifics pertaining to thigh lifts just PM me and I can share. They removed 4lbs 6ozs of skin and fat. The doc said there wasn't much fat to remove, but I'm pretty sure there was plenty. I was 139 in the before photos, 126 in the after photos, and I am 5'6". I had some unforeseen complications with my ability to eat after surgery, so I lost more weight than expected in the last month. It is an incredibly rare problem, so not to worry - but it scared the heck out of me. T…

Finally got my drains out and decided to try a pair of jeans on for the heck of it. It was honestly the most eye opening, surreal, amazing moment in my life! I always wondered what it was like to have pants fit properly. Even with all my weightloss I still had to wear my pants below my excess skin tummy roll. What a difference an extended tummy tuck makes. I had to slap myself a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming!

So I will be a year out from surgery in July and as of today I am 34lbs from goal weight- hoping to be there in July. I can see my face has sagged quite a lot already especially with a "wattle" under the chin and my upper eyelids have become more droopy than they were before becoming more hooded and making me look very tired. I will likely need a TT and armlift and maybe even a thigh lift eventually but I have decided to start with my eyes and have an upper eyelid lift. I am going to South Africa to visit friends and family in July and have decided on a very reputable surgeon there, I know his sister and I remember her coming clean about some work she had done by him, a…

Ok so I just finished week 2 after my TT and things are great except I caught my husbands cold so sneezing is a OMG moment. Other than that no more pain meds and cutting back on the Advil. The brushing is almost gone, I have been massaging them daily. The swelling is going down and as that does so is the weight. If I get brave enough ill put up pictures lol.

So while our scars aren't really significant, or huge or overwhelming. They are kinda ugly, and well, they're scars. I know there are lots of remedies, and Bio Oil and mederma, but something I hadn't heard of before and am seeing results from is silicone sheets. I bought one, cut some patches and have been using them on the scars. All you do is peel the backs off (they're sticky) stick 'em on and go do your thing. They do need to be peeled off (they are not sticky like a band-aid, it doesn't hurt) and cleaned with soap and water and air dried (they stay sticky) and then re applied, but personally I've seen significant lightening of my scars since I've been using them…

I had my sleeve in Nov of 2011 and decided to get my arms done. I went to Dr. Steven Robinson in Columbus Ohio. It cost about $4800 paid all by me (no insurance coverage). I had the procedure on Dec 21st and was off work for 2 weeks. I have scars running the length of my arms from elbow to under arm pit. The left arm is still swollen (and more so than the right, but I am left handed) I have internal stitches and then external removable stitches. The stitches were removed after 2 weeks. I never had a drain. It was painful but more like someone punched me in the arms many times...they are numb along the stitch line still and the swelling might be present for up to 3 …

Hey everyone, This past Monday was my consultation for a TT, under the chin lipo and back lipo (which she said I really didn't need, but it makes me uncomfortable). After about an hour, she came up with a total: TT: $8,000 (thats with the surgical center and anesthesia) Chin Lipo: $3,000 Back fat lipo: $6,000 I live in Southern Oregon and would be OP. They can't do all 3 in 1 day (she prefers not to do the back lipo anyway, saying I really don't need it). Just wondering if this is the going rate... Marci

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has used a Derma Roller. It is a device with multiple small needles about 1mm that is suppose to stimulate collagen production & decrease the appearance of stretch marks & wrinkles. Some people say it hurts. I just bought one for $10 on Amazon(got good views). Guess I'll be the test subject.

Hi all! I've lost 248 pounds since my lap band in September 2008. I am now 5 pounds away from my goal weight, and I am consulting with various local and non-local plastic surgeons about my plastic surgery options. As you can imagine, after losing so much weight I have a lot of skin laxity in BOTH directions, particularly on my abdomen. I definitely need a lower body lift (as opposed to a tummy tuck), but the question is whether or not to have the fleur-de-lis or anchor incision with it. This is a vertical incision down the center of my abdomen, which would allow the surgeon to pull the skin tight from the sides as well as up/down. That is the main advantage of it. T…
