I will be 9 months out on Monday and have lost 140 pounds. Want to lose 10-15 more pounds. Starting to think about plastics. Anybody know a good surgeon that specializes in post bariatric surgery weight loss plastics in Richmond, va.? Also curious about how much weight you lost in skin with operation compared to your weight loss. Thanks.

I'm getting ready to get the surgery. Im dreading the lose skin part. Any insides on that. Insurance doesn't cover any type of plastic surgery. How does everybody deals with lose skin? Can it be prevented or minimize without plastic surgery? Or maybe there's an affordable way to get plastic surgery :-/

Hi I'm Marlynn ...i had the lapband surgery a year ago today ! As of may 4th i have lost 100lbs ... My starting weight was 326 ... Im 5'7" / 5'8" ... Decided to post a pic of my progress so yall could see .. I was a size 26/28 im a size 12womens now and could be smaller if this little pooch wasn't in the way ... I know insurance wont cover mine since my pooch sucked right up instead of hung down after the weight loss ... Just fishing for unbiased opinions on readiness as far as the TT GOES ... Anyways the pic on the left is before an you can see the massive rolls and then there is me now ...

Hi all, I was sleeved in January 2011, and my weight has been fairly stable for the past 14 months (unfortunately I didn't hit my ultimate goal, and am not likely to with the level of exercise/diet I am able to realistically maintain). I had been putting off having plastic surgery with the idea of losing the last 10-15 lbs., and finally I have decided to just schedule my first surgery (breast lift/reduction) because the weight is really not coming off despite diet and exercise. I'm going to make a big push to lose as much weight as possible this month (amping up the exercise and cutting daily calories down to <1,000 per day) before my surgery but don't expect to los…

Just watched one on YouTube a little bit ago (well, 12 minutes of highlights anyway...) and I'm slightly horrified. And by slightly, I mean really. It was all good until they actually ripped the skin off of the patient (watching the lipo part wasn't all that pleasant either, less gory though). So here's my question: I assume some of you have had this particular procedure, so how painful was recovery, really? It seems like people are up and about within a few days of most of the other contouring procedures. Is this about the same. I guess I just visualized this stuff as like a pinch, cut, and stitch kind of a deal, by my goodness, was I wrong... I'm generally pretty ok w…

I am almost 100 percent positive I will have to have a panniculectomy. Just can't imagine my dangling tummy will cease to dangle considering its been hanging there for a good 15 years... My question is, is it worth bothering with abdominal exercises if I'm going to get a panniculectomy anyway? I am sure the ab exercises will help me look better faster but would I be better off spending that energy on my arms and thighs with the hopes of avoiding them needing surgery? Just wondering what y'all think

I'm 26 years old a lot of people are saying that I'm young enough and my skin will tone up just fine, however my lower stomach is what bothers me the most right now, I'm guessing I need to lose about 70-100 lbs but i'm not sure that this lower tummy is going to go away without the TT. What do you guys think?

My goal since the beginning of this was to get a breast lift (no implants, just a lift). My starting weight was 206 and I'm down to 150 right now. I'm 5'2" and 28 years old if that matters. A healthy weight for me is 136 (on the higher end) but I would like to get to 125....but I also know my body is quite comfy at 130. Anyhow, should I wait until I completely get to goal to do the lift or is it ok to do it a little earlier? I don't want my boobs messed up AFTER the surgery is over! But I'm also anxious to get it done.

Hey everyone, I'm 20 years old, 5"7 and currently weigh 165 from 222 on surgery day! I'm not planning to have children in the near future, but I know I want to eventually. I am not at my goal weight yet either, but I can tell I am going to need some reconstructive surgeries after I reach that point. Has anyone had any experience with having reconstructive surgeries (mainly breast augmentation, lift, tummy tuck or torso lipo) and then getting pregnant afterwards? Were the surgeries worth it prior or is that something someone should hold off on if they are planning on having kids. Anyone have any advice?!

Has anyone lost around 130 pounds, had breast lift with augmentation then got pregnant? What did your boobies look like after? did you need to get a new boob job done?did you already have kids prior to your boob job? I have a total of 130 pounds to lose, I have lost 92 so far and I hate my boobs. I have 3 children already and dont plan on having any more for another 5 years. When I get to goal I wanna get breast lift with augmentation but at the same time don't because I know they can sag. I cant help thinking how much can they possibly change though? with all the weight gain I stretched them out allot and 3 pregnancies . I never was able to breast feed so I wont be th…

Hello everyone. I am scheduled for surgery on June 18. As everyone I am concerned about extra skin and keeping everything together as best as possible. I am considering wearing a body suit. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it working for you? Where did you purchase it? I've seen these for post lipo suction and plastic surgery but those are clearly not available in my current size. Thanks for any and all feedback.

I am scheduled for an abdominoplasty next week. During my initial consult, I asked about liposuction for my waist. I was told that I didn't have much fat but had left over skin. Oh good I thought... He has a plan to give me a waistline. Then I started looking at pictures and procedures. I soon came to realize that after abdominioplasty most women's waist lines look pretty androgynous. Some look like they had less waistline than before surgery. Well I thought I will ask all these questions during my pre-op visit. Little did I know that I would not see the dr. during the pre-op visit. It was just a visit with the nurse about do this and don't do that. I asked the n…

So so happy with my decision to have a breast reduction (in one breast) and breast lift in both! Thought I would have to have implants to correct my poor sagging drooping breasts, but I found out that I could go this other route instead. I am one week post op and my breasts (although still taped a bit and a little bruised) are beautiful! I finally have 25 year old breasts (even though I'm 59!). If you're interested in more information, I wrote a new post on my blog www.queenofcrop.com No pain for the most part.....and I am so happy not to have my old breasts......

Has anyone looked into having a Corset Trunkplasty? It looks like it would cover a lot more then just a regular tummy tuck. Anyone have any idea on pricing here in the states or Mexico.

I was sleeved on August 16 2011. I have been sitting at around 170 pounds for about 4 months now, and I feel very comfortable at this weight. My surgeons goal weight for me was 190, however I had set my own personal goal for 150. I have tried to lose more, however I a lot of excess skin on my stomach. I have finally made the decision to get plastics. I was originally going to go to a surgeon that I had found in Beverly Hills who was going to charge me $14500 total for breast lift with gummy implants, and a tummy tuck...however he wanted to do an anchor incision for my tummy tuck. Not wanting that added scare going up the middle of my tummy I sought out another doctor for …

Yes im still on my journey buy I would like to know before I invest in some major Spanx. I will definitely need a pannilectomy, the inner thighs tightened, brachioplasty for my arms, and breast augmentation. Those are not wants they are needs, I have been so fat for so long no amount of exercise will fix it.

I am a lil over 1 yr post sleeve. Im really interested in getting a tummy tuck and liposuction on flanks, hiprolls and upper back. I already went for a consultation and was excited. I just needed to apply for financing. So I applied with Care Credit but was only financed for half of what I need for my procedures. So I am just wondering how all of the self-pay ppl have managed to get any kind of plastics? My insurance didn't cover my sleeve so I'm positive they will not cover cosmetic surgery.

Hi friends, I was sleeved on Jan 11, 2012 and have lost 132lbs in total (including pre-op). Now, after almost 18 months, my breasts, arms, inner thighs and tummy are all saggy and droopy and need reconstructive surgery. I was planning to get the brachioplasty, thighplasty and breat lift (no implants) done at the same time. It was first scheduled for Feb of this year, and then a tummy tuck after a couple of months. But the surgeon's visit to India was postponed (he is of Indian-origin, living in USA now). He is visiting India only in June - so my surgery will be on 4th of June. I'm now seriously considering having the Tummy tuck done on the same day.I know this soun…

I'm looking into getting an inner thigh lift and tummy tuck and wondering what dr people would recommend. I'm ok with going to Mexico. I have thought about the circumfrencial lift as well. I carry all my weight in my lower body (inner thighs, outer saddle bags, butt, hips and lower tummy) I want the best procedure that can give the most results. What are experiences of others. I also need to take into account cost being a single mom of 3. So any suggestions are appreciated:)

Not affordable for this girl who has three teenagers, Does anyones insurance cover tummy tucks? lifts and all the other plastics one may need to look put back together again after WLS? Also we have something called Care Credit for those who cant afford to pay for the surgery all at once here in Chicago. I dont know if this is all over but what other ways can I finance it. Did insurance by any chance cover you guys. (Fat Chance I know, but I wanted to still ask)

I'm getting arm, boob, tummy, butt, thign Cost 35,000 in New York City No implants surgery will be done all together 8-10 hours I will be in pain the first 2 weeks & I will be recovery 6 weeks in total. Hospital stay 2 days. My teenager will take care of me & her siblings. I will ask my mom to come over just incase I need her for a week or two. Then my sister can come over. So everyone can help me out. Hubby??? He can't cook or clean. Lmbo I will see if I can cook for a few days at a time. My teenager can make Breakfast & warm up food & make stuff in the oven. I guess I have to teach her to cook before surgery so incase I can't lift she can do it.
