Thank you for posting all this good info. I am 8 pounds from my goal so really starting to look into plastic surgery. I was wondering how many pounds of skin did they remove? Trying to see how much additional weight I will lose. I have lost almost 160 pounds. Really can't wait for abdominal skin to go bye bye and breast lift, I am thinking about thighs and arms. I am scared about having surgery in mexico but really need to research to educate myself. Open to anything. Thanks!

I will be 9 months out on Monday and have lost 140 pounds. Want to lose 10-15 more pounds. Starting to think about plastics. Anybody know a good surgeon that specializes in post bariatric surgery weight loss plastics in Richmond, va.? Also curious about how much weight you lost in skin with operation compared to your weight loss. Thanks.

Just got approved for my surgery in 3 days!! I am so excited! I'm sure there will times when I won't be so thrilled, but the roller coaster ride will be worth it in the end.

I just got the call from federal bc/bs! I got approved!!!!!! I now have to wait for letter from office to set my surgery date. They said it got approved Friday afternoon and my office submitted Wednesday morning, very fast! Thanks again guys for everything.

I have basic. I saw someone post that she was denied and had to wait 8 months to reapply, why so long or did that give you your 2 years of weights? Sorry, just want this so bad!

Have weights for the past year and then there is a 2 1/2 year gap and then off an on for past 5 years prior to that. Do u think I will be okay? Also, my surgeons office says that they only require 3 consecutive months of doctors diet not a full 90 days. Has anyone heard of this? Do u think I will have problems with approval? Any comments would be appreciated.

Ok, this is my first time on this site. Love it so far! I have gone to nutrition consult and am on week 4 of my 3 month physician supervised diet. I have my psych eval. On April 16. I am wondering about other peoples experience with federal bc/bs insurance and their approval process. I am so scared that I. Am not going to be approved. Is their a weight loss that they want to see for 3 month diet? My BMI is 48. I have high blood pressure only, no other co-morbidities. How long did it take to get approval after office submitted info? What did you say for your letter as to why you wanted this surgery? Do u talk about personal reasons or give facts about benefits of losing weight and how it will help your health? I know a lot of questions, just dying for someone's advice that has been there.
