Did it take u a long time to save? Did u use some kind of credit card? I need a LBL and a breast lift. Somebody please help! Currently have some money saved but I want to know other options... If u took out a loan, how did u go about that? I don't have the best credit either!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to take a minute to advise everyone that when it comes to elective surgeries,be prepared for complications. I'm the lucky 1 in 100,000 patients that the routine breast lift goes terribly wrong. I have an excellent surgeon (voted number 1 plastic surgeon in our area),( I work in the medical field and researched him extensively) I'm in excellent shape and have never smoked a cigarette in my life and it happened to me....so it could happen to you. We get so excited to reach our weight goals and look so forward to making our bodies match our new self confidence, that we put little REAL thought into the risks. Let me clarify, even though I have sp…

I love to snow ski and was just wondering when you ladies who have had this combo actually felt like skiing again? The first surgeon I consulted with said that I should be good to go in 4-6 weeks. I do bounce back pretty quickly from things. I was back at work after gastric bypass in 9 days ( I don't have to do any heavy lifting). What do you ladies think? I REALLY want to get this done but I also love to ski... Please give me your opinions. THX!

I am looking to get a breat augmentation and tummy tuck. Does anyone know of any good doctors in Georgia?

I remember what it felt like to start realizing that I wasn't fat anymore.... it was crazy, and it was a process. This tummy tuck thing.... you are TOSSED in - the change happens in a few short hours - and POOF, a tummy I never thought possible. Consider these psychological impacts if you decide to have one. I am 5 days post op - posted some pictures on my blog. http://aleadsinger.wordpress.com/

I had my breast reduction and lift, insurance approved, last week. The surgery was 4.5 hours and outpatient. I was a 40 F before the sleeve and a 36 DDD before the reduction, after losing 75 lbs. The surgery wasn't too bad. There isn't as much pain as I thought but I'm so wiped out! I should've taken more than a week off work. I've posted some pics so that you can see what I week post op looks like. Not as gruesome as you'd think. I have a lot of swelling, especially laterally. That will take about 6 weeks to go away. I also posted two "before" shots. Although embarrassing, it was helpful to me to see other people's photos. Sorry that a couple are upside down. I have no…

I am just beginning to lose the weight and want to try to AVOID my skin getting overly loose. I know it will loosen some, but can it be lessened if I start now? What have you found that helps? Hydration? Creams, scrubs, lotions? Wraps? Weight training? Massages? Trying to put together a regimen now and get it started. TIA!

How come nobody ever mentions neck lifts or jawline tightening or facelifts? Our faces lose a lot of volume, rapidly, and there really is such a thing as "WLS face", but nobody every mentions getting anything done? I'm young(ish) and the first thing I noticed after losing a significant amount of weight was the crepey pouch at my throat and a less-than-crisp edge to my jaw, deeper cheekbone lines and crinkling around the eyes. FU** THAT SHI*!!!! If there is a non-surgincal way of fixing it, please let me know, otherwise snippity doo dah!

Has anyone gotten a panni and then got a tummy tuck afterwards?? I ask because I'm 5 months out and have already lost over 100lbs and I have alot of hanging skin, it's causing rashes and getting in the way. I want a tummy tuck when I'm done loosing all the weight but I've been wondering if a panni would be something I should look into at this point to kinda hold over until I loose the rest... This excess skin is really annoying and I feel like its kinda holding me back in a way... Any advice/tips would be great thanks

Having my panni next week Tuesday. Really nervous ut can't wait to have all this extra skin off. 7-12 was my one yr mark and my weight has been steady for the past 6 months. My highest weight was 266 Im now about 170 and my doc says that's a good weight for my frame. Im 5' 7". So i think this surgery is really gonna help me be able to work my core more effectively and give me more confidence.

I am scheduled for a lower body lift, inner thigh lift and breast lift with implants on July 26!! I'm super excited..... However am going to be traveling to Mexico for this alone. I'm pretty nervous about it. I had my sleeve done in Mexico but had a travel partner, so it wasn't as nerve racking. Has anyone had procedures done while traveling by themselves? What was your experience, and any suggestions or tips would be great!!

I've lost 155 lbs in a year and have alot of saggy skin. I went to the plastic surgeon in my town yesterday for a consultation. Just for the belt stomach area and hospital cost is $11,100. To do the arms and inner thighs later is the sames price to have them done together. I've been pretty depressed and down since. My insurance will cover only the "overhang" on the belly below the belly button. Which would still look horrible. I've been to two banks for loans and my only option is to put up my truck that was just paid for this past year or take out a second mortgage on my home. I could use some ideas. I did schedule the surgery for the middle of December so to hold …

I would love input from people going or who have gone to MX for plastics. Did you finance? Take out a loan? Or did you just pay cash? Who did you go to and how was your experience? I would love all the info I can get because I'm trying to choose a doctor and get this done within the next 3-6 months. Thanks!

I am lifting weights 3 times a week to build muscle to fill up the extra skin but seems to not be working as much as I like. Does anyone use any types of creams or other things for extra skin?

Hi Guys & Gals, I had a lapband in 2011, and have been lucky enough to lose 144lbs. I now think it's time for some reconstructive surgery - I think I'll need a tummy-tuck and chest work (I'm a guy). I'm really looking for some reccomendations for either UK or European companies. Have around £7k to spend, so something within budget would also be great. Can anyone help? Thanks Tel

May sound like a silly question, but I am serious. How can you tell when you've lost enough and you are ready for a tummy tuck? My band surgeon, who was looking at me clothed, said my belly is probably extra skin. I told him there was a still good amount of fat inside that skin, but he said there always is. For those of you who have TT'd is that correct? How did you know it was time to reconstruct, and that losing more weight wasn't and working out wasn't going to do the trick?

I am sure this has been discussed before but...... I am going to ask again I had my surgery in Mexico with Dr. F. Garcia in May 2012. I am sure that I am done losing.... My weight has teetered between 117 and 120 for the last three months (starting weight was 216). I have skin issues but nothing major...so I am not seeking to do any tummy tucks, lipo.... all i want is BOOBS... because right now all I have is skin and nipples... I went from a DD to an A cup... no bueno. I am looking to have a boob job done but of course the cost here in the states is crazy compared to the cost in mexico (this will be my third surgery in mexico). Please share your MEXICAN experi…

I'm considering plastic surgery after I lose 175 lbs for the loose skin, not anything else, really... How much would something like that cost outside of the good, old us of a? Ho much would it cost in the states?

I am starting to research my upcoming breast lift surgery. I do not want implants. Can anyone post their before and afters? I don't want to see any with implants at all. I'm not sure if these types of pics can be posted on the forum. If not, my email is jennLg2@gmail.com ( j e n n L g 2 @ g m a i l . c o m ) Or if anyone knows of any websites that are easy to navigate through ONLY breast lift photos with no implants, I would love to know the site. I run into way too many before and afters with implants. I would really appreciate any help with this, friends!! It is a very exciting time to get to this point!

Hello, throughout the past year I have lost around 100 lbs, and have gone from being a D to a small C. My breasts need a lift. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ, does anybody have any recomendations on plastic surgery doctors in NJ or even NY? Thank you.

Does anyone have experience with the procedure codes?? I'm having the panniculectomy procedure 15830. The dr does not normally bill for facility codes but wants to bill as much as possible in order for me to get all of my money back from the insurance company. I have experience with procedures but I've never billed facility fees. I've asked a few people to help but so far they've been no help. Does anyone know what he can bill for in addition to the actual procedure??? I'm getting anxious because I'm waiting for these codes before we request the authorization!! Help?!?! Much thanks in advance!!

Hello. Has anyone had their tummy tuck done by Dr. Cameron Earl in Las Vegas? How was the procedure. I heard they cut only up to where the port is. So I really don't quite understand how that's works. Thanks!

A little history - I was banded Dec 2010. I have lost 100 so far. I have had some ups and downs but for the most part I am VERY happy with having the surgery. I have had 4 fills and I can not remember how many cc's I have - I think and 8.5 or 9. I am a size 14 (I think I was 10 or 11 years old the last time I saw a size 14) Over all I feel Awesome BUT I have lots of sagging skin. My boobs are giving me directions to my toes and my arms look like a roosters neck. My belly is not bad at but my thigh skin is very loose and droopy. Most of my weight was lower. Sooo I went for a plastic surgery consult and decided to have my boobs lifted and my arms lifted at the same time. Be…

I called my insurance today and they said skin removal can be covered it it's deemed medically necessary. Anyone else like that? How the heck do I make it medically necessary to get my stomach skin removed? I've lost 115lbs

Hey Guys! I'm forteen months out and am 20 pounds from goal. I've lost 120 pounds and my surgery was 5/21/12. I really need a TT and breast lift but have no idea where to start. I was self pay for my surgery because my insurance had an exclusion on wls!! Insurance sucks! My husband's employer pays 1400.00 a month for our insurance and it pays terribly. Anyway, anyone have any information on the cost of a breast lift and TT? I don't think I will need a body lift. I do have skin but it isn't too bad. I think a normal TT will do. Anyone here had them both at the same time? Would love to hear about your experience. Any information will be appreciated!!

http://www.capellaplasticsurgery.net/photo_gallery.htm Hey, I came across this website today, and I found it very informative. It shows pictures of patients with large amounts of weight loss before and after plastic surgery. WARNING: The pics are uncensored and feature full nudity, so don't click if that offends you. Does anyone know of other sites like this? (Not necessarily ones with nudity, haha. Just pics of plastic surgery for weight loss patients?)

Strange question I had a X-ray tech tell me she had laser treatments and it help to tighten her lose skin after WLS. I was so nervous about the cardiogram she was performing I didn't ask more questions. Did anyone hear of this? She said it looks as though she goes to the gym and she doesn't go. I'm just curious . I kno even with working out my thighs will definitely need to be lifted as well as my tummy and arms n I'm sure a boob lift too . I'm only 1 month out of surgery but I'm preparing for the new me . I have already planned that my 40 present will be reconstructive surgery.

I had a corset trunkplasty with tummy tuck muscle tightening on May 28th. I am now almost completely healed but I keep putting on Fluid (Water weight) and right now my belly is noticeably swollen, lower & upper belly. Has anyone else had this problem? I always swell more when I don't wear my binder or spanx style body suit. Is this normal?

Hi all. I'm scheduled for the panni surgery on July 11th (2 years to the day after my sleeve!). I've lost 85/90 lbs and have a large stomach hanging over my huge thighs. The surgeon hasn't confirmed (pre-op is next Friday) that he will do both but has given me the cost estimate (approximately 10k extra). Insurance is paying for the panni and I'm thinking about doing both at the same time. I need some guidance on what you all think about it. He says the healing process is longer but I'm convinced that I won't be able to find clothing after the panni without the thighs. Plus I'm tired of missing my summer's getting well. I work for myself amd can only take time off du…

I have quite a large belly. Since my surgery one week ago though my wife has even noticed that it is getting smaller. I have already dropped from a 48 to a 46 waist jeans. My concern is just how much floppy skin will I have to deal with? My wife bought me some Vitamin E oil and wants me to rub it on my belly every night. I have to stay away from my sutures till they are healed and then I will rub the whole enchilada. Has anyone else tried this and if so did they have success? Thanks Mark

Really- did I really need to do this? I understand this is a stage of recovery but right now, exactly one week from my full tummy tuck, flank liposuction, breast lift and reduction, I am regretting my decision. The pain is extreme. I want to be at work. I feel like a burden on my family... and I really want to cough. At any rate, I've attached 3 "1 Week" photos. I will post before pics as soon as I can find them;). I had two drains, one was removed yesterday. Pre-op weight was 128. I'm still very swollen and weighed in at 135.4 this morning. Oh happy days!!!

One week from today, August 1, I am going in for extended tummy tuck with anchor incision, mons lift, breast lift with implants, arm lift, and lipo on the thighs. I am wondering what I can do now to help with a smoother recovery. I've rented a lift chair/recliner, and will be borrowing a walker, toilet seat extension, and over the chair adjustable table. Ive got my prescriptions for meds and will fill those soon. Any other recommendations?
