One week from today I will be having a fleur de lis tummy tuck. I have waited so long for this to happen..but now its getting close and panic is setting in. My worst worst fear is to wake up in complete agony and feel out of control. I know this is the right thing to do..I know ive earned this..but good god i need some reassurance right now!

So I had my first plastic surgery consultation today to discuss the excess skin on my stomach mostly, but I also brought up a breast lift and an arm lift. The doctor explained to me that there would be 3 separate surgeries for those procedures. I was under the impression that at least a couple could be done at one time, so now I am confused as to whether I was wrong or whether the doctor gets more money that way. I know that is a horrible way to think, but that was the first thing I thought of. I really don't want to have 3 separate recoveries for each of the surgeries, but I am guessing I will have to have at least two separate ones. Any thoughts?

I had very extensive plastics Oct 14 2013 by Dr Sauceda in Mexico - 4.5 months ago. Scar maturity varies alot by individual - genetics etc. I did use silicone strips but have stopped recently since they make me crazy... I am now using massage and lotions including mederma. I can't show the breast lift ones but they are essentially invisible since I only had the lollipop incision, no scarring under the breast. This photo is in a cocktail dress with no spanx or other flattening clothing... wow what a difference One of these days I will get around to updated bikini pics to compare to my preop ones ...

I have been spending the past few weeks researching and talking with numerous surgeons from Mexico. I decided on Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey but found out that the company he used to work with for financing/payment plans no longer works with him. Just wondering what other options there are. How did you pay for plastics? Or are there surgeons in Mexico that you know do payment plans/work with a financing company?

I am doing my first plastics consult on Monday. I have put it off for a while because I wanted to see if I could zap the extra skin on the tummy area with working out (cross fit and running for me). Unfortunately, it is still there even though I am at an ideal body weight, have an athletic body fat percentage and have a lean muscular body composition (good inverted t upper body shape). I am not a huge guy, but it have built up good muscle definition from consistent cross fit training combined with distance running over the last year. My stats are 5'11", 181 current weight, bf% @16% (according to WW scale). I am a size medium in shirts and a size 30-32 in pant size. …

I have spent about an hour searching this forum but can't seem to find the answer. Are there any teachers who have had a tummy tuck? If yes, how long was your recovery time? I am trying to decide if I need to wait until Summer (2014) or if I can schedule surgery for my Spring Break (we have a 2-week break). Thanks for any input.

My Dr emailed saying bring my compression garment ( and lab work, etc) to my next visit in 2 weeks. He didn't specify what kind, brand or anything. I'm going to call Monday but am looking for advice from those who've had LBL, TT, panniculectomy already. I'm having a panniculectomy only but are all compression garments created equally? How many should I purchase if I plan to wear it 27/7 for probably 12 weeks and maybe more

I had my sleeve at OCC in TJ MXN, and was wondering if anyone had plastics there, or the Ariel center I think is what it's called.

Brachioplasty can be a tricky procedure in terms of where the plastic surgeon cuts and hiding of the scar. And from my understanding, it is not a commonly done procedure. Has anyone had an arm lift done in southern Ontario where they had good results? I'm looking for the type of procedure where the scar cannot be seen if you are standing up straight and your arms are to your sides. So the scars would be facing your body.

OMG! Last night we took my son and daughter-in-law out to Texas Longhorne Steakhouse, I got an appetizer, went down ok,I was so hungry I ate a roll, amazingly it went down ok(waited for the stuck feeling), got a steak and pulled pork combo, was gonna have a bite and give it to my husband, I ate some pulled pork (delicious) decided to eat one little piece of steak,(lapband and steak doesn't mix) ate the steak, it went down fine, Still waiting for the choking to start, nothing, so I ate some more! I ate half the steak! and the potatoes and greenbeans. Scary thing I wasn't full, I forced myself to stop eating. WELL! about 10 minutes later I got the worse pain since child bi…

Hoping those that have had skin removal can help me out. I've lost over 100 lbs and need to lose 30 more lbs. And now I'm wondering how much fat I still have on my lower stomach and thighs and how much is skin? When I was at my maximum weight I was all "filled in". Now I can grab my stomach. I can push my thighs around so to speak. Just trying to figure out this out. Wondering when I should start consulting a surgeon.

Anybody know of a doctor who does a belt lipectomy. I'm in the Michigan area.

Did you use ice during recovery from plastic surgery? I'm reading conflicting opinions (imagine that). Interesting that I also read a surgeon explanation for why the patient instructions vary so widely. He said among having personal preferences that work for the surgeon and his patients, medical care is a biologic science not a physical science. So, the recommendations are made based on your biology as well as the preference of your surgeon and the standard of care guidelines. Makes sense.

As anyone investigated the requirements of health advantage for TT?? Just curious.

Has anyone had a upper arm lift, do you have any photos to share? What do your scars look like? Just dreaming of the day when I have lost so much weight that I will have to have surgery to remove the extra skin.....no more living life in a fat suit, lol

I have my plastics date! Aye!!! So here's my question, 5 weeks post op is spring break. Do you think a three hour car ride to a family resort sounds doable?

I'm planning my plastics for this summer and I wanted to know if you had a LBL if you notice a difference in your inner thighs? I need a breast lift as well (no implants) and I can only afford a LBL and thigh or breast lift (no implants) my doctor is going to do a fat transfer to fill in my breasts, so id like to know if a thigh lift (inner thigh) is even worth it because I want him to fix my breasts as well as my LBL at the sametime to do the fat transfer, but my inner thighs bother me!!

I had a Tummy Tuck four days ago (Halloween). Today is the first day that I feel human. This surgery makes the LabBand surgery a walk in the park, lol. I learned a few things that I would like to share (I would blog this but…..) Day 2 was hell. Extreme pain, I couldn’t get up from sitting without assistance. I hurt from my boobs to my crotch (and have the colorful bruises to show for it). It is really important to stay on top of your pain meds. Day 3 was better but still needed a lot of assistance. The highlight of the day was a sponge bath and hair washing (Mom helped with this). Today, I’m human. Last night was the first night I could get out of bed without waking…

Whilst I have been set on breast reduction and lift, I am now considering a tummy tuck or lower body lift. Is it better to get everything over and done with in one surgery? How manageable is it? I live on my own - would I need any help, even short term? Thanks for any advice.

Had my sleeve April 3rd this past year. I'm well within my ideal weight, however I'm disgusted by the excess skin on my legs (mainly back oft thighs) and my breast went from a very full DD to a not so full C. I am considering the thought lift and breast lift/implants. I would like to know about how much this usually costs and the recovery time. If you've had it done, would you do it again?? Are the scars terrible? My whole hola would be, to be able to wear shorts and a swimsuit without feeling completely embarrassed. Any advice, opinions or suggestions are welcome. If I decide to do this, I'll be using someone in the Dallas area. Thanks in advance!

Three weeks since my lower body lift (and more) and I am still a little hunched. I am blessed that my recovery is going well but I am in the doldrums, tired of it, tired of Being tired, and would like to stand straight with good posture. Grruuumpp Good news is that my incisions look really good. Start scar treatment soon.

I recently discovered Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey but I was wondering if anyone has been a patient of his and would like to share their story. I'm kind of fearful about the idea of going to a different country for surgery but it is WAY cheaper than the quotes I got from a local surgeon.

He surgeon said she will have to put the implant under my muscle as she doesn't have enough skin and fat to work with. I wonder how under the muscle feels opposed to skin and what the healing difference is? She said I will feel my implants and there is no way around that.

I am scheduled in 2 weeks for PS. The doc suggests a panni, abdominoplasty and puboplasty. Insurance is covering the panni but the rest is on me and I can't afford all that so I must eliminate one. I have lost 181 pounds and am ready to experience the huge change everyone but me can see. I desperately need advice from those who know best which would give me the best reward for my limited funds. I can swing one or the other but not both. Also, can I manage the pain with meds or is it worth the extra $250 to spring for the pain pump?

I had Gastric Bypass surgery over 10 years ago. I lost 225Lbs and have kept the weight off over the years. I've had 4 pregnancies and my DH and I are done having kids. As you can imagine I have hanging skin and major stretch marks from my weight loss and having kids. I'd like to undergo plastic surgery and make myself look sexy again. There are soooo many plastic surgeons in and around NYC. Can anyone recommend one that specializes in plastics after weight loss surgery please ?

I bought a package on groupon because my neck is so saggy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I saw ZERO results and I was so disappointed. I can't believe I was such a sucker for the hype. I had six sessions and nothing... The super sad part was hat I really couldn't afford it in the first place. Now I'm broke and I still have a turkey neck!!! Lol.
