Hello, I had a consult yesterday with a plastic surgeon in my area which went very well and the cost if great so it looks like I will stay in the states for this one instead of heading to Mexico. My question though is if I am having the lower body lift, he will also make incisions around the bra line for the rolls that hang over and he also will do butt injections. My thinking now is.. how the heck am I going to sit.. or lay.. anyone with experience please help! I still have a few months to go.. and I also want to ask him about some inner thigh work too! Thanks in advance!

I have a consultation for breast lift and augmentation with Dr. Reisin on Thursday. He works in Novi Michigan with star plastics. I have researched everywhere to get reviews on his breast lifts and found none. Have you had surgery with him? what did you get done? how do you feel about the results? can you post pics Please?

Hi All, I had breast reduction surgery on July 1st. I thought I knew enough about the surgery before going into it, but unfortunately I've experienced a rare complication (ischemia, which is loss of blood flow & oxygen to nipple/areola) and it has been a very scary and uncertain time for me the past week as I've tried to educate myself about what my condition is and what will happen next. My plastic surgeon has been very responsive and reassuring, but there's only so much time in a day he can spend answering questions, so I have taken it upon myself to learn as much as I can about this situation. In my online researching, I found a really useful website, www.b…

But I finally went through with it- full tummy tuck, breast lift (no augmentation) and flank lipo. Thursday was rough, Friday getting there, and today much better. Will certainly need at least 2 more days of

Just Wanted to touch base with you regarding my extended tummy tuck results. Its been over 5 months now and I can finally say I am feeling closer to feeling normal again. I still have very little sensation around alot of my stomach and upper thighs. From what I understand it can take Years to resolve since sensory nerve regrowth is very slow according to my doctor. I finally feel comfortable lifting weights now. I still avoid crunches because it still feels tight and uncomfortable to me. My Scars are healing and fading wonderfully. The side scar and back scar are higher than I would like, but I had already been prepared to accept a scar before I had the surgery so I hav…

I had lipo on my waist, back and inner thighs on the 8th of July and am still feeling tender and bruised today which is 11 days later. I remember the nurse telling me I'd be back to normal in 10 days so should I be concerned that I'm still so bruised and battered with no signs of it ebbing?? My inner thighs are probably almost back to normal. Bruising has almost gone and nearly no pain, but my torso still kills if my boyfriend so much as tries to hug me...

I am 12 years post op and 2 years after I had my son. I am finally getting an arm lift. Can anyone tell me really what the recovery is like. The doctor has me off work for three weeks. Will I be able to get out of bed or eat and what about showering. Monica

Wondering how other's recovery from arm lift have gone. I am 18 weeks post op and while I LOVE the results, the recovery was way more than I expected or was prepared for. Luckily, I had taken 2 weeks off work and my employer was flexible enough to let me work from home for 2 weeks after that. I found that I couldn't go long at all (maybe 2-3 hrs.) without elevating my arms. The first 10-12 weeks were spent focusing a lot of time on my arms- had to go to PT to help with swelling, scar mobilitzation and scar reduction. It was extremely helpful and would recommend to anyone who under goes arm lifts. I will say the end result, at least at this point is 4 inches off eac…

Ok this isn't related to WLS or anything but has anyone here ever had microdermabrasion? I have been wanting it done, just wondering what it was like and if it had good results or not. There is a good deal on Groupon for a Med Spa here, just wondering if it was worth it or not.

I am pretty happy with my current weight. But I have been thinner - my BMI at one stage was around 21. Even at that weight, I had uneven-ness in my waist. I have pockets of fat just above my body lift scar which looks like a permenant little muffin top. At my current weight it's barely noticeable with clothes on, but when I gained a bit, it became more obvious (proof is in the pic below from when I was jusy 8lbs heavier). It also means that I currently can't wear anything but low rise pants because I have a 'faux' waist on my hips (where the body lift scar 'dips' into my body) I also am interested in seeing if I can get any improvement for my inner thighs, which remaine…

Hi all, I created an album of before & after pics of my breast reduction surgery. In order for it to not be open to the entire VSGTalk universe (I'm a bit modest) It's only visible to "friends," so if you would like to see it just request to be my friend and I will accept and then you should be able to view the pics. Fluid every day and the left breast wasn't; also, the nipple/aureola on my right breast are dark purple and scabby-looking, while the nipple and aureola on my left breast are normal looking (light pink) with only scabbing on the edges where the incisions were done. The plastic surgeon is monitoring this on a regular basis and I'm seeing him again …

I have been thrilled with the weight loss but am horrified with the way my face looks. I have always had a slightly sunken area under my eyes, but now the rest of my face looks hollow and wrinkled. Almost every day someone will ask me if I am feeling OK because I don't look good. Someone in the medical profession asked me if I had thought about fat transfer, so I have been reading about it, Has anyone had any experience with this?

I had corset trunkplasty in January of 2013. I'm about a month away from being healed. They took all the skin from under my chest down to my pubic line. I will still need some skin off of my back and thighs taken off but I'm pretty happy with the results. I know most get a tummy tuck but after losing 160lbs I needed a bit more help than that surgery called for! I have posted a few to show the difference!
-
I am so excited to be less then 2 weeks away from my surgery". I have lost 65lbs. I'm not at my goal yet but even though I eat great and exercise 5 days a week I cannot lose anymore. My plastic surgeon feels it will help to get all the excess skin off. I only have to lose 30 more this will put me close to my goal! I will post before and after pics

I have a terrible gobble turkey neck now. I try not to pay attention to it so it wont bother me, but it does and I've even had people mention it to me after my weight loss. What has others done ? Has anyone had a tightening in the neck area ? I think I'd rather have that done first before a tummy tuck since it is something I look at every day and everyone sees my face. Ugh. Just frustrated with it today. Thank you !

Well I wasn't going to post these, but I figured I've been very open and honest about my journey so far and that I should continue to be open even now. I have to admit, posting these is a bit humiliating but I think it's important for people realize this surgery was no walk in the park. It was painful (and still is) and has a long recovery process. Losing over 200 pounds leaves a lot of excess skin. Last week, May 1st, I had a tummy tuck/hernia repair/skin removal surgery. The top pictures are the before pics taken the morning of surgery. The after pics are taken today, 8 days later. You can see on the before pics I had A LOT of extra skin. You can also see the…

I searched but didn't find any previous posts so here goes. Maybe I'm just odd. I had surgery 6 1/2 months ago. I'm about 20 lbs from my goal. I have always been pear shaped and now I have extra skin over my hips and thighs in the saddle bag area. Not a surprise. The shock is that when I sit and twist a certain way, it must fold the extra skin on itself and pinch. It is extremely painful in almost a cry out loud sort of way. It has been going on for a couple of weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? I wasn't sure how I felt about plastic surgery but I can't fear sitting down for the rest of my life either.

Hello! I was sleeved in Tijana by dr. Fernando Garcia on march, 22. I have currently lost 36 pounds and weigh 198 pounds. My weight loss has been steady every week. My question to those of that have gone through this involves the timeline. I would like to schedule a MM for the Christmas holidays this year (I'm an educator that gets two weeks off during this time). So, will I have time for a good recovery before I return to work? If I haven't reached my goal of 150 by then will the MM be a bad idea? I would like to hear any advice from those that have planned ahead of time (financial planning) and if it was a good idea. I'm also leaning towards getting this done in T…

I hope to get a panniculectomy soon. I have ALWAYS had a tendency to pass out, when I get grossed out. It is a vaso-vagal response, in an instant, with very little warning, my BP drops to 60/30 and I am DOWN!! After surgery, I realize that I will have drains. My doc suggested I desensitize myself to what it will look like. I need pics, the more graphic, the better and info regarding drain care and daily life while they are in. As I live alone and DON'T want to be on the floor every time I catch a glimpse of them or have to clean the site, empty drains, etc....

Just wondering if anyone has any info about how the flight after surgery will be? I will be having surgery on the 26 and flying home on the 5. And to top it off it will be a 10-17hr flight home (with layovers and plane changes:(

I had lipo done to my tummy, back and inner thighs two days ago and have been in manageable pain, but today I've started to itch EVERYWHERE that I've had lipo. Scratching it does nothing because I'm still pretty numb in those areas. Is it normal??

I am almost five months post op from a TT and arm lift and I love the results. I just scheduled an appointment to have lipo done of my inner thighs (my surgeon believes that i can get 75% of the result I want with lipo instead of having to undergo an inner thigh lift). I was wondering if anyone has had just lipo of this area and if so, how was the experience?

Hey all! I'm a year out, and almost at goal. I've got about that much skin left, and its a mess/preventing me from working out & really hurting my back & hips to carry it around so I'm in for a consult with the bariatric plastic guy in a few weeks. Truth is, I'm scared to death that it will be so painful and I'll be laid up forever. I'm usually not a huge baby, but for some reason...can anyone tell me I'm crazy or correct?

I am in nursing school and a mother of two...so I'm on free state insurance. Tenncare. It paid for my surgery (all but $1600) and now I have skin...it's not horrible but it's messing with me psychologically. My arms are really bad. My breasts are realllllly bad (breastfeeding didn't help) and my stomach is sort of bad. I would be at my goal size if I had the skin removed. Does anyone know if insurance covers any skin removal? A friend of mine had breasts that were different sizes and her insurance paid for implants! I would love a lift with silicon implants. I also have different size breasts. One is a B and one a C. It's been that way size the age of 8! I hate it!!! It's…

I am pre-planning ahead. My sleeve date is August 7. I am sure I would want a TT and a breast lift and I haven't decided on a fat transfer to butt yet but possibly a butt lift. I'm sure I can't afford it in the US but perhaps Tiajuana because my sister lives on San Diego. Any suggestions specifically in Tiajuana?

Yesterday was my fifth day post breast reduction/lift surgery. And OMG, it was by far my worst day since surgery (excepting the day of surgery itself, but for that day I was massively doped up and really out of it). The reason for the horrible day: constipation. I had been warned by both my plastic surgeon and the attending nurse that between the anesthetics, antibiotics, and painkillers, I would probably be constipated and was told to faithfully take a stool softener each night to help keep me regular. I did take the recommended stool softener each night, but I think because I was eating so little most days, there just wasn't a lot of food to process, so I didn't …

Hi all, If you've had both a breast lift/reduction and a tummy tuck, which would you say was the worst pain of the two? I have been very surprised at how hard it has been to recover from my recent breast reduction surgery and am wondering how bad the tummy tuck will be in comparison. I'm assuming it will be much worse pain, since there will be more cutting into muscle, but I want to get a better idea of what I'm in for if possible (can you compare the pain discomfort of the two procedures on a scale of one to ten, with one being not bad at all and ten being the worst imaginable pain/discomfort?). I admit, I sure didn't expect recovery from my breast reduction surgery…

I am 18 months postoperative and have been at goal for about six months. I am in need of a abdominoplasty. I am just starting the process and have changed insurance companies since my surgery. Yesterday, the boobage clock rolled back by about 35 years -- I had breast reduction surgery! I call them my boobs version 2.0. Woo hoo! I cannot believe the difference! I still have the dressings on so can't show off the new profile quite yet, but will post some before & afters here once the dressings are off next week. Suffice to say, my boobs went from very saggy & long with nipples pointing south to very perky and nipples pointing straight ahead -- like they were when I hit puberty several decades ago. They feel very firm too. I know there is a lot of wrinkling around the nipples right now, but that will straighten out over the coming weeks & months. …

I am booked to have a tummy tuck and arm lift on the 23rd of August. My plastic surgeon felt the muscles in my tummy area and does not think that she will need to do muscle tightening (looks like years of ab workouts may pay off). Which apparently is the most painful part. Has anyone had this done? How was the pain level?

I found the best surgeon ever had to do my homework as I didn't want to be butcher. I'm having a boob job using my own body fat which I do wish I was a little fat now. I can only do my boobs now due to the fact that I'm very thin. So in a few months like August I'm going under the knife. D cup here I go. I was thinking C cup cuz I'm tiny now but hubby wants me back to a D since that's where I started. Hey I'm used to big boobs no problem the fat I do have can fill my boobs but not my butt smh it's ok. Soon no more deflated saggy boobs. Wish I could show you the results but Alex wants the group to be pg13 I respect that plus this isn't porno. Don't think hubby wants me f…

Hi everyone, I just wanted to stop in and share a few photos. I know how much it helped for me to follow you guys. I'm only 5 days out and still very swollen but I'm feeling stronger each day. I will say the first 24 hours were very ROUGH!! It took a little time for me to get the pain under control, but by day 3 I started to feel like I might actually survive. Im scheduled for a breast reduction/lift on June 5. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
