  1. Kara i like. There is another one there that i had one time and didn't care for.Have you gone to any of the support group meetings?Every 4th monday of the month. They are pretty good! You learn different things. All types of patients go there.Pre op,post op and people that have had it for years. You should go!Fun group and sometimes we meet afterwards for coffee or something light to eat.You will know when you get your fill and know that your at your green zone.Yeah fills are easy.

  3. Hello friends!I go to CDH and i have Dr. Woodard as my dr now.He is not my original dr i had to change due to insurance would be way too expensive at other drs office.I love Kara the nutritionist.Dr Woodard is great.I am glad i was able to find another surgeon that understands me and he is funny and not so serious all the time! From what i hear he is the only one that doesn't numb you before he gives you a fill.I have never been numbed in the area for a fill.It doesn't bother me at all.So far so good!
  4. I cannot tolerate bread at all!Nor can i with pasta, rice or steak.Haven't eaten that in 3 1/2 yrs.I miss sandwiches sometimes. But now healthier alternatives and something I could tolerate!
  5. I miss sandwiches and when i was able to eat them wrapped in lettuce it was the greatest thing ever!I can't tolerate bread at all. This is a better alternative and a healthier one!Glad i can help!
  6. I like Jimmy John's!They have any sandwich that can be made wrapped in lettuce. The turkey tom is good. And its enough to eat 2 times.1/2 sandwich per serving.Delish!!!!

  16. My fitness pal screen name is GrkPrncess Feel free to add me.I love to have all the support i can get! Thanks!!!
  17. Well not exactly 700 but it was close to 400 for 2 weeks. And yes my liquid pre op diet sucked ass!Lol!!!!
  18. You guys are lucky that you were able to eat solid good for your pre-op diet.I was told a all liquid diet of 3 adkins shakes, 2 high protein slim fast shakes,Clear chicken broth, sugar free jello, and sugar free popsicles limit 2.That was my daily meal everyday for 2 weeks!800 calories a day it came out to!I didn't cheat at all.First week was hard cooking for my family and smelling the food. And by second week the food smelled gross! But i did it and lost 19 lbs in 2 weeks before my surgery.Different doctors different diets i guess. My other option was the medifast diet.I couldnt afford $700 for 2 weeks of food.My family would of starved!Lol
  19. Well i can honestly say this is a diet that i did not cheat on.I didn't want to even think what would happen if the doctors couldn't do the surgery because i cheated and ate.No way!!!I remember that i even went to a pool party and i was the only one only drinking water.Everyone else was eating and drinking. That was a real test. But i figured i came this close to get the surgery that i wasn't going to blow it.So think twice about cheating. Its not worth it and or having to have open surgery instead of laparoscopically. If you can't sacrifice 2 weeks then how are supposed to change your eating habits the rest of your life.Just saying!Good luck to all if you new upcoming so to be banders!

  21. I can't eat anything re heated.I found that it changes the texture and it gets stuck no matter how much you chew.So i avoid re heated foods.I learned the hard way also not to chew my food all the way and really got chicken stuck. Was throwing up so bad to get it out and irritated my throat esophagus and stomach was so Inflamed I had to go to the doctor and he had to prescribe some liquid medication to ease and calm down the inflammation because I was only able to drink fluids for like four days.So never again for me!You have to be careful.
