  1. Can I join you both ? It will be 3 years in August that I was banded. I lost 70 pounds the first 2 years and nothing this last year, I actually gained about 10 over the winter. I am back on track, finally. I had my first fill over 9 months last week and it seems to be helping. I haven't really had any restriction in a while. I have also changed my goal. I was original hoping to go down to 135, now I would be happy with 140-145. I've been running and walking to try to get the scale moving again.
  2. Thank you, Kitt3000. I hope I am too. He does always write in my file right after he does a fill, while I am drinking my Water. Not sure if someone else rewrites it after he is done. I was hopefully the day after my fill. I was finally feeling some restriction again but, today 3 days later and I've been starving all day. Trying to keep drinking water and get my Proteins in. Hoping I feel some restriction soon.
  3. I Had my most recent fill last Thursday. Before that fill, it had been about 9 months ago since I've had one. In those 9 months I've never really felt much restriction and have gained about 10 pounds. I blamed it on the awful winter we had which led to a decrease in exercise and poor food choices. I know it's my fault. I didn't really think much about the restriction. I've been banded almost 3 years and have lost about 70 pounds. This was my first gain. I had an appointment in April but cancelled it, silly I know, but I was hoping to lose some of the weight before I went. So I was rescheduled for this past Thursday. This where I have some questions. The Dr. always asks some questions he commented about the gain and when did I start to feel less restriction, and the thing is I don't know if I ever really did feel any from that last fill. Then he goes to access my port. He always draws out the Fluid in there to measure then adds more. This time he kept moving the needle around, I asked what was up. He said it's not all coming out it must be stuck. He finally put what was in there back in with a little more. But it seemed I've lost some saline since the last time I was there. He said it's not back up to where you were 9 months ago, but he wants me to come back in 1 months to give me another fill Or see if there is a leak. Ugh ! Not what I wanted to have happen. So it has me concerned about some things. What happened to the saline that's supposed to be in there. At first I was thinking maybe he missed the spot last time, but wouldn't he know that since he draws it all out first ? And what if I do have a leak, what would I do ? Just curious if anyone else had this kind of situation with their band. I am really hoping when I go back in 4 weeks I am where I should be and I can get another fill and finally get the rest of this weight off. Thank you !

  5. I have a terrible gobble turkey neck now. I try not to pay attention to it so it wont bother me, but it does and I've even had people mention it to me after my weight loss. What has others done ? Has anyone had a tightening in the neck area ? I think I'd rather have that done first before a tummy tuck since it is something I look at every day and everyone sees my face. Ugh. Just frustrated with it today. Thank you !

  7. Thank you all for talking to me and helping me. I will go tomorrow. I haven't lost but I also haven't gained. I don't know if I will get a fill or not. But I will go, to keep me on track and to help me recommit. I want to and need to reach my goal ! Slow and steady. Thanks again !

  11. Hi, I haven't been around in a while, and haven't lost any weight in a while either. Hmmm. It will be 2 years since surgery for lap band on August 16th. I have lost 75 pounds. My goal is to lose 20 more. But I haven't lost anything in the past 6 months. I am getting very discouraged. I run 3-4 times a week. I try to eat well although I will admit I do occasionally eat the wrong things. I do count my calories And I never go crazy over. My question is, I have been seeing my Dr. Every 3 months. I have an appt. tomorrow. I have been getting a fill at just about every visit. I embarrassed that I have not lost anything, again. Should I go ? Or reschedule the appt. and try to lose something before going back in ? I might need a little fill, but for the most part I think I am at a good point. I do get hungry between meals. And I think that maybe my issues, the in between snacking. I think I answered my own question. Go in hope he gives me a smell fill and then start back at the basic. How often are others still getting fills ? Should I be at my good spot by now ? Thanks. These last 20 pounds are taking forever. Terri.

  15. Same 155. I have not lost anything in almost 2 months. I know a lot of it is my fault. I've had a sports injury that unwashed told to rest. So I haven't done much physical activity. Then I have been stress eating, I haven't been going crazy, just not eating the right foods. No gain, just no loss. I have an appt. on Thursday and I am not sure if I should go or not. I feel like I am tight enough that I just need to get my head and body back into the game. :/
  16. Checking in at 155.
