Okay Bandsters! Here's a crazy one for you!

Recommended Posts

I live in Southeast Texas where it is HOT & HUMID! I recently had three friends banded in the last three months and they have had plenty of questions for me. I have been banded for almost 4 years and I try to remember everything I went through as a newly banded person. Now I have a question "4 years" after being banded! My crazy question is:

Does anyone notice the barometric pressure changing the day to day restriction? If the barometric pressure is up, my head hurts and my band is tight. If the humidity is down I have less restriction. It's like some of my fill will enter the tubing on low pressure days and I'm less restricted. High pressure days seem to pull my entire fill into the band and I have more restriction. Crazy Huh!

I've never experienced it, but I'ver seen several other posts saying restriction was tighter on high humidity days.

Wow. There's bugger all humidity where I live. I haven't experienced that. I did go to Bali though a couple of years ago. Didn't notice anything different though. Was too freaked out about the bombs cause they went off just before we flew out! I think our body temperature might effect it though. I have days occasionally where I struggle with everything and I don't know why, but it settles. So, who knows?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
