Surgery this Friday!! HELP!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Today is the 9th day of my post up and I've been put on pureed/soft foods. Here's the issue now... I've been ok, no nausea, no vomiting. I did something really bad. I actually cheated and ate a chicken sandwich and I've been eating some solid food but not much. I ate very, very, very slow and in small bites. It hasn't caused any nausea or vomiting. My band has just been placed but there isn't any fills yet. What can I do??? I feel so terrible. Maybe I wasn't ready to have the procedure.

Hello everyone. My lap band surgery went well. When the anesthologist came in, he was talking to me and put something in my IV and I can't remember anything after that. All I remember is waking up. They told me they need to repair a hiatal hernia. I'm at home now and in the worst pain of my life because of the incicions but more because the gas is shooting up to my shoulders. Do you recommend I drink a Protein made shake? Or just wait it out?
I appreciate each and everyone of you and I thank you for being there for me.

How do you feel? Are you sick at all? Don't beat yourself up. Just try to remember why you had the surgery. Also think of the complications that can occur from eating foods your not supposed to. Be strong you got this

I feel perfectly fine. I don't feel nauseous and I haven't even vomited. I just hope it won't cause any issues. I'm barely eating, I've only ate twice today. Ugh, I hope I'll be ok. Thank you for your encouraging words, I really appreciate it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
